I feel that the club should just splash the cash to get THE Goalkeeper that we needed/targeted.

He could just be the final piece of jigsaw that completes the puzzle

I draw on the example of VvD, felt then that we overpaid for him at £75 million, but since he came in, our defense got a fair bit steadier.

Agreed. A good keeper back by a solid defence can go a long way as proven in the WC. 3 out of the final 4 had good keepers.

pool reportedly hv put in a 62m bid for alisson. i hope i am really wrong in this...cos i don tink he is worth that much. pool is putting in a huge gamble IMO.
