I think their last success is the Proton savvy. From there the mid 2000s there's an emergence of SUVs and crossovers. Nothing from Proton. They totally missed the boat or sleeping in their kampong still producing Proton Wiras?? While major companies thrive from SUV and Crossover sales, proton is still busy signing up deal to rebadged more Mitsubishis. It is only like they bought by Geely then they start to rebadge their SUVs. They had such potentials with creating nice hot hatches like the Satira Neo but they stop short of do anything new. To get the common folks to be like back in the samurai era. This kinda move is just to distract ppl away from how bad the nation's economy is. Getting ppl to feel patriotic is a false sense of hope imo. If you were to look deeper you will only see more sh!t. We know that this car company is going nowhere. No Chinese company is even remotely interested in it. All these years it's either re-badge engineering or build cars that nobody knows about.
