I just saw highlights of the game and I have to say

Spur's finishing is very poor. They keep shooting at the keeper.

What is the coach doing? I think this Pooch is all hype and no substance.

As a coach he should be telling them to practice shooting.

If only 2 or 3 of the shots went in they would have won.

Spur's manager need to learn its not how many shots you make

its how many hit the net.

If I was Man U directors I wouldn't waste my time trying to get the Pooch

they should leave him at Spurs with their no budget to buy anyone.

Ole is the man for Utd.  [thumbsup]

:D

People say the players got Jose sacked but all these players were bought by him.

And he spent 400 million on them.

So he got himself sacked.

:D

Where to find instant cash before contract ending ..... [sly]

First lower the club $$$$$$$ funds with spending, get the players he brought to revoke against him and ta tar...... instant cash and goes for holidays .... :a-happy:

David Wagner sacked as Huddersfield boss.

They are odds on for relegation as they have only 11 pts to date and no team in EPL history has survived with less than 13 pts after 22 games. Whoever coming in would have a Herculean task ahead!

Good Friends at different ends of the table!

I think even Big Sam cant save Huddersfield as they are woefully short of quality players. They have overachieved to reach EPL as I think they are at best a good Championship side.

Leeds in on its way back?

Let's see what i remember of them:

- UCL semi finalist

- got some good players all sold...

- got 2 England international keepers at the same time

- got 2 australians in the team...

- almost gone broke

hope they are now in much better shape.

Not gone broke.

Totally broke.

Team dismantle.

Stadium sold.

They just buy back elland road this season.

Supported them before EPL even start

Therein lies the problem - the gulf between the established premier league teams (not even talking about the big 6), and the championship teams, is quite big. It is quite difficult for the just-promoted teams to stay in EPL for longer than 2-3 seasons, unless they somehow strike gold and unearthed a few A-grade players that were previously unknown. These players were therefore cheap and hence affordable, plus cos they were not famous yet, there were no takers from the more illustrious clubs, so they were content to join a 'lesser' club that only just got promoted, and either was never in EPL before, or was not doing well so was drifting in and out of EPL.

One example is Leicester. But it's said that it's a once-in-a-lifetime case...

And even then, the A-grade players after enjoying success, would attract interest from bigger clubs, and will crave to move up, leaving the club with a mammoth task to replace these great players... If the replacements aren't good enough, the team will start struggling...

As for the rest of the promoted teams, they usually go straight back down, or maybe they pose some surprise tactics and players, and so can shock some teams in the first season in EPL, and will survive maybe 1 or 2 seasons, before the other teams get familiar with them and peg them back.

Not sure if it's a good or bad thing that this has hardly changed over the years...

Leeds is the classic case of spending future money.

They budgeted based on income from UCL qualification so spent money first assuming this UCL income will be forthcoming and thus replenish what they had already spent. But they then failed to qualify for UCL and thus went into deficit and became bankrupt.

All prudent clubs shld just base their budgets on sure income like already signed advertising contracts and sponsorships, gate receipts, merchandise sales etc. Income from European Club Competition shld be a bonus n not taken into consideration.
