hey , not bad living this way . how much is it per day ? Quite nice experience

Slightly more than $500 per night for 4 person.

Dec is their peak season as a skid slope is just in front.

Sleep in tatami mattress. The unit Terrance has a fireplace. So I just bought some woods to have the fun of it.

Only snow tyres.

Compulsory by law in Hokkaido to fit car with snow tyre. So rental company must equip car with snow tyres.

Some of the road can be icy and quite slippery even with snow tyres.

So hand to move off light foot and brake early.

Around mountain area, used as much engine brakint as possible and do last minute brake before corner.

Now I am in Tokyo. After return to Singapore and settle now. I will post some photo and driving experience in the Hokkaido self drive thread to talk about winter driving in Hokkaido. Which is really fun.

I mean do not last minute braking.

Desserts were assorted macarons from TWG Tea, egg tarts from Tai Cheong Bakery and fresh milk with grass jelly - my boy likes the latter from a dessert shop and it costs almost $5 for a small cup, so I bought a big bottle of fresh milk and a big pack of sweetened grass jelly to improvise the dessert at home cost-effectively, and they were enough to make multiple cups :)

Had boxing day lunch at chuan kee. The meat was thoroughly braised and sufficiently tender. The soup was strongly herbal. The rice grains do not clump together and makes every mouthful, pleasant to eat. Also, the chilli sauce is also one of a kind that goes really well with the duck meat. got permission from the stall to take the chilli photo haha
