New Year's eve lunch at Good Chance Popiah Eating House yesterday with my mother-in-law, wife and kids. I prefer those cheaper and ready-to-eat popiahs at hawker centres to my self-rolled lousy popiah :)

 

Followed by noodles at dinner with my mom, wife and kids at Encik Tan :)

 

Lunch at Food Republic just now at a shopping mall before buying back-to-school shoes at Bata for my boy who has outgrown his existing pairs. My wife ended up buying new shoes for herself, me and our little girl as well :)

Maid had gone home for holiday, I'm home alone in Bangkok babysitting the 2 dogs, still have some leftovers from Christmas, missing some home food, so what should I do?

On the first day of 2019, we went to Dian Xiao Er at Marina Square for lunch.  Fortunately we go there slightly earlier, the place was packed and there was a line waiting.

 

We had the herbal duck, chicken in chinese wine, Hong Kong style steamed fish plus some veggies.

I actually did a hybrid. Added about 120ml of red wine to each piece of salmon (about 350g/piece), sealed the aluminum foil and baked in the oven for ~20 min, so it was poaching technically, but instead of pan, I used oven.

 

Fried Shishamo for snack... Goes well with beer.
