I finally retrieved this from deep inside my storeroom.  This dinosaur Honeywell air purifier never quit on me once in my > 15 years of ownership. True workhorse.

Honeywells are incredibly noisy.

Yes, can only use at low speed at night. But really effective, was told it is hospital grade but not sure. I used to have 3 of them as kids had sensitive noses which they have since outgrown. Gave/ sold away 2 during last haze season. Heng never gave this away. 😀

Yes. The HEPA filters cost a bomb. The carbon filter is ok.  The filters are  really cheap in USA. The mark up here is incredible. Guess we don't have volume.

NEA said that AQICN follow USEPA method,.  That means it follows Clean Air Act which has published formula.

NEA did not explain their method le.

My tower fan also blowing out dust. Very hard to clean, have to use those compressed air canister they sell at Ch@llenger. 

My air cleaner is on 24/7, haze or no haze. I find the house less dusty.
