Ahtea 3rd Gear May 15, 2019 Share May 15, 2019 Hi All, i am getting my Avante S pretty soon. Anything i should take note of? Check for scratches and physical damages. Also ensure that majority of the fittings are workable before driving out of the premises. Eg. levers to open the boot/bonnet/fuel tank. ↡ Advertisement

Vinceng Turbocharged May 16, 2019 Share May 16, 2019 Yes, for my case, I also reminded my SE before I paid the balance. She was nice to take special care and indicated it in the purchase agreement. The last batch of Elantra was cleared at a very attractive price i was told. So yea, new model, pricing higher, combined with less COE tickets. Maybe that is the reason for the drop. Jan 19 is high likely because of the first delivery wave of Avante (heard there is about 200 units snapped during the launch). The last batch of the previous model Elantra was cleared at a song in Sep 2018. Elantra base model - $67K Elantra S - $71K COE was $28K Now COE has increased by $8K to $36K, but the new Avante base model is selling at $82K, a raise of $15K. Not worth it to buy Avante now.
awhtc 6th Gear May 17, 2019 Share May 17, 2019 This makes it even more puzzling. I seldom see Mitsubishi Attrage as PHV compared to early 2017. If these “old” 2016 PHV were deregistered, it should have been returned back to the CoE system and cause quota to increase unless of course these vehicles are insignificant in number . It is possible that these PHV Attrage were de-registered in 2018, which led to an increase in COE quota in the 2nd half of 2018 and lowest COE prices in a decade. Ct3833 Supersonic May 17, 2019 Share May 17, 2019 Dont know by end of this year, what will coe price would be like for cat A? will be on the upside but question is how much because of the anticipate reduction in quota allocation. and with potentially taxi coming in plus increase in PHV companies bidding, CAT B will go up, end up some of the potential buyers will be forced to buy CAT A instead, thereby increase the CAT A competition. That's what the govt wants in the long term . Lesser cars on the roads, more public transport users.

Vinceng Turbocharged May 17, 2019 Share May 17, 2019 Oh yes, sure make money if COE rises. This Sep 2018 Elantra S was purchased at $71K After 8 mths usage, can still sell at a profit of $4K. https://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=826640&DL=1360 ↡ Advertisement
