Makan in Thailand

Recommended Posts

Street food at Surat Thani night market. Food here is a bit cheaper than Hatyai. Here is 20 and 40 baht. Hatyai is 25 and 50 baht.

lol I only know of two places in Hatyai that sell suckling pig, and this is the more commonly seen one.

I used to drive up/pass hatyai up to 5 times a year, until the recent change in immigration regulation where land crossings are only permitted visa-free two times a year.

I already used up this year's quote in Feb, once at Sadao and the other at Mae Sai.

I tried to apply for a visa at the Thai embassy in SG (e-application).

First they asked for vehicle log card, which I duly provided.

Next, they asked for a bank statement of accounts and my hotel bookings for the trip. I gave up. LOL

Lived here almost 15 years but never been to Hatyai before (shame for me).

Great photos @adrianli of Surat Thani, never been there before too.  [:p]

Great company with @steveluv and great food. Thanks @steveluv for meeting the lonely me at the last minute. If you want authentic italian food with a homely and cosy atmosphere, this is the place, Peppe Italian Restaurant. Next to BTS station too.

Lonely dinner at my usual street food stall. Now I know the name of the stall. [laugh] There are cheaper salt bake fish elsewhere but I prefer here cos they help you cut open the fish and debone it. So it is easy to eat.
