If the minstars/MPs don't know/unwilling to solve the issues, the solution to me is obvious too. If want to complete ban, garment need to step in and follow gun laws, a buy back scheme.. However, where there are pedestrians, it is usually in town/estates and there are junctions every 50m to 10m. The bike/PMD traffic would be crisscrossing with the foot traffic, throw in cars/buses, the traffic junctions would be a nightmare. Just look at Shanghai where there are bike lanes (for motorized scooters also), it is dangerous for the uninitiated pedestrians. There they also bo hiu the pedestrians. PMD were allowed to terrorised the public, after public outcry, banned or restricted. Our gahment still hang up on face saving. Now ST has proven every rider is breaking the speed rule, interview with them is either they pretend to don't know or don't care. Every one of them is errant.
