Police called in after two men allegedly argue over seat at VivoCity cafe

Two men allegedly argued over a seat at VivoCity's Ya Kun Kaya Toast on Oct 25 at 3.45pm, and one of them ended up calling the police.

Stomper Chan was with his friend at the cafe for lunch when he witnessed the incident.

The place was relatively empty and there were many seats around.

About five minutes after Chan arrived, he noticed a man enter the cafe to meet a woman who was already seated.

They were seated facing each other at a four-seater table and had not ordered anything.

Chan said that the man and woman were having a conversation for about 10 minutes, when another man in glasses arrived.

He sat next to the woman and asked the other man to leave.

According to Chan, the man who was first there said that he did not know why he had to leave.

The man in glasses insisted on taking the other man's seat.

Throughout the argument, Chan said that the woman remained silent.

A few minutes later, staff of the cafe tried to break up the argument and suggested they sit at separate tables, but to no avail.

Chan said: "The man who was there first refused to move and pointed out that there were many other seats in the cafe.

"However, the man in glasses did not want to move and decided to call the police over this small issue."

The police arrived and the argument was broken up.

Chan and his friend left the cafe and did not know what happened after.

"I mean it is really quite silly to be calling the police over this small matter. One of them should have just moved to the many other seats in the cafe," he added.

This type of shit news also publish, waste bandwidth.

wa. hit a cyclist. cyclist hit windscreen and she didnt know and continued driving. bicycle dragged undercarriage she also didnt realise. such hazard better off the road. what a lousy judgment. both driver and the judge.

I talked to someone who has some knowledge of law.

With regards to this case, it's an issue of proof. Can you proof that she ran away knowing she knocked a cyclist down? You can't argue she must have known or its commonsense. That not how law works.

I do agree sometimes the law is skewed that only the rich can afford to play but it's how the law is. Problem is, most of us work by rule of common sense as opposed to what the law really says or requires and we keep getting into trouble because of it.

Why not rule of common sense then? Because everyone's commonsense is different (road is empty so commonsense dictates that I speed ).

And army is do anything you want don't get caught.

With regards to the teleportation case, the charge was they were within the boundary. Unfortunately they were only proven to be INSIDE the boundary which apparently wasn't illegal. The only thing is that it was common sense that to get INSIDE, you need to be WITHIN the boundary but again, law doesn't work this way. That's why people get away. Cos those who dunno the law shoot first without planning.

Example. Common sense dictates that most people speed if the expressways are empty. But TP cannot randomly stop cars with accusations of speeding unless their radar gun actually catches it. Malaysia might be different.

Please don't assume that I am for a legalistic society. No. There is room for common sense. But unfortunately, the law cannot work this way. As long as courts are not involved, common sense can prevail but once courts are involved, it's a whole different ball game.

Peace.
