Thanks a lot for everyone's reply,

truly appreciate your knowledge :)

Hi Trex101, Are you driving Estima 2.4 and getting mileage of 11-12 km on highways ?

:D

I guess you are too driving Estima 2.4

Thanks bro, appreciate that [thumbsup]

I liked your comparison very much.

My budget is about 10K to 15K for a NZ imported one.

Mine is a Japanese import 3.5L, engine has definitely been work on because it felt much more powerful than a 3.5

One thing to note is 3.5L is using 6 speed auto while 2.4L is CVT. One of the main reason why i choose 3.5 instead.

I think many here has forgotten how to drive and has become totally reliant on the gearbox. Some cars' gearbox I have experienced are slow to react when going uphill. They just don't kick down fast enough. That's when you have to override the auto and use manual to shift down a gear or two to get it going. Toyota gearbox are program for fuel efficiency. So at times if you want more power you have to manually down shift to keep the power up.

Eh. Nz petrol is same price as Singapore.

I would probably recommend a kia sorrento though. 4wd is definitely recommended for nz.

Thanks guys for replies.

In NZ, 98 petrol is about 2.20$ nzd.

What other 7 seater cars can I consider?

I'm thinking more of space and practicality.

I see all these weird messages"You can make 2 more posts until Today, 07:09 PM. This restriction is in place until you have 4 more approved posts".. why so much restrictions?

Can consider s-max 2.0 ecoboost or sharan 2.0 tsi (7 seats with enough oomph).

Because of its proximity to Lyttelton?
