Meet Captain Marvel’s Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson and Gemma Chan in Singapore on Feb 14

 

 

After the spectacle that was the Avengers: Infinity War fan event last April, Marvel’s biggest superheroes are once again descending upon Singapore shores on Feb 14.

 

This time, it’s the newest superhero to the Marvel cinematic universe (MCU) family – Captain Marvel herself Brie Larson.

The Best Actress Oscar winner who plays the title role (as well as the cosmic hero’s alter ego Carol Danvers) will be joined by Samuel L. Jackson, who plays fan favourite superspy Nick Fury, and Crazy Rich Asians’ Gemma Chan, who is taking on the role of Minn-Erva  (also known as Doctor Minerva – a Kree geneticist and spy). The film’s directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck will also be in attendance.

 

The stars will be in town to meet and greet fans at a red carpet publicity event held at Marina Bay Sands for the highly anticipated Captain Marvel, which will be released in Singapore on Mar 7.

 

Singapore will be the only Asian stop for the film’s publicity tour.

 

Similar to previous Hollywood blockbuster red carpet events held in Singapore, fans will get the chance of a selfie or an autograph with the film’s stars. The event, which will be held at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, is open to the public with no fee. 

 

To celebrate this momentous occasion, fans are invited to be part of this free-to-public event at Sands Expo and Convention Centre on Thursday, 14 February. Due to venue capacity limitations, all attendees will be required to pre-register and collect tickets in person on Sunday, 10 February, at Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Level B2, Hall F.

 

Registration will commence at 10am on Sunday, 10 February and will run until tickets are fully redeemed.

the biggest buildup to avengers: end game since infinity war ended. theres so much anticipation about captain marvel and what she can do, why samuel l jackson paged for her. i can say this movie cannot fail. it has to deliver.  march 7!

Singapore marks the Captain Marvel movie's first – and only stop in Asia – on its global press tour. The fan event was so popular that the organisers released another batch of tickets today after the first round ran out on Sunday. In fact, fans from as far as Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines were part of the queue, which started as early as 9am, even though the doors were only opened at 5pm.

Good acting by main actors and nice humour, but story is a bit cliched and tried way too hard to be a chick flick too.

 

Whether its essential viewing for Abenjers 4, I personally do not feel so.

Agreed. It's not that good and not that bad. Just a normal superhero movie. Just thinking how they are going to continue Avengers Endgame when Thanos is a farmer and with the infinity gauntlet cracked and maintain the show at 3 hours?? 

Captain Marvel is so so nia.

Kinda liked this line "take the tesseract, leave the lunchbox", homage to The Godfather.

 

Even Goose was over-rated, I felt.

 

First time watching Brie Larson movie and I think she did a good enough job, let's see how they blend her in with The Avengers later

 

There is a lot of fan speculation on how the Russo brothers will wrap up the final instalment, time travel seems to be the most common theory.

 

Am just gonna buy a ticket and watch with an open mind, hopefully at Lido 4.
