Petrol Discounts in Singapore

SPC has a promotion of free 1.8 kg Naturel organic mixed rice with every purchase of 3 packets of UFC coconut juice (around $10+ after $3 fuel discount).  The rice itself is worth about $10 at NTUC.  I bought 8 sets in total since I like chilled coconut juice and my parents like the mixed rice.  The last day could be tomorrow.

Good news, keep it up!

I did a rough calculation and it seems Sinopec still better off in terms of per liter @ $2 for 98 after the 23% discount vs SPC which coupled with 5 dollars voucher and UOB $3 dollars credit card rebate requires you to pump $68 which works out to be a few cents more per liter for apple to apple comparison.

Unless I misunderstand the discount mechanism.

I use UOB one card. I pump $67.20 for stations along Bukit timah when using the $5 discount.

67.2 -5 = 62.2., then take 18% off. It’s $51.

Then the $3 off for UOB. Is $48.which is 28.6%

for UOB one there is a further card discount of 3-5% depending on how much you spend.

So up to 32.1%

Just pumped at this SPC and was told it's slated for renovation and should be distributing coupons next week. Perhaps those who drop by next week could update.

Hopefully they spread it out. If every place gives coupons at the same time what’s the point. How much petrol can you pump to use it anyway.

can ask if my calculation is wrong..

48 dollars / 26 litres for SPC is 1.84 /litres base on 68 dollars of petrol will be 26 litres

Sinopec 23% on retail prices of 2.25 dollars works out to be 1.74 /litres after applying 23%

Seems cheaper to pump sinopec?

48/67.2 = 71.14%.

SPC $/L should be same as Sinopec? So for $67.20 it should be 29.87 L.

Some cards give a further x% rebate on amount charged (for petrol spending - 8%) So it would actually work out to be lower than $48.
