Was reading the accompanying link to the CNA Talking Point 'expert' who says the petrol foams up when pumped in... didn't know petrol can foam up like soft drink... I thought the acting of agitating it like what happens when you pump fuel from a pressurized container would just cause the petrol to vaporize more quickly...

Almost all tanks have a breather hose to burp the tank. Never need to shake. Don’t know which dumbo started this practice.

Anyone knows when using this discount voucher with UOB one card, if pump more than $60, still can get the $3 off?

@13177

Yes. If you pump $64.

Firstly, they will deduct $64 - $4 =$60

Then, Uob card with spc card at 15% discount = $60*0.85=$51.

Finally deduct $3 from $51 ==> $48

Like that i kena scam by the SPC when i went to pump yesterday liao. I only checked my receipt after got home, pumped around $66, they only deducted the $4 discount voucher plus the site discount without the $3 for UOB one card. Think even the discount is not at given at 20%, which by right has additional 5%. [sweatdrop]

Checked liao, no deduct $3. Thought after using the voucher, no more credit card discount. Maybe i send an email to SPC customer service and see what they say. Lol.

What is the amount you top up? You need to factor in the 20% promo (15+5) for last week.

With 20% promo and $4 coupon, you need to top up $68.

Eg, $68-4 =64

Then 20% discount ==> 64*0.8 = 51.2

Then $3 off >> $48.2

If you top up less than $68, then of course can't meet the $51 spending because of the 20% discount.

Edited, I saw you top up $66, hence can't meet the $51 spending for $3 off.

Yep

The cashier was kind enough to tell me I needed to buy another $3 worth to hit the right sum. Anything in the store is fine

I see i see. No wonder dont have the $3 due to the 20% discount. So if only 15% discount, then have $3 off. Aiya, the pump attendant should pump $2 more. Lol.
