So far only heard of the 1.5l version.

No news for the Active X version.

I just signed the EOI for the 2019 Mazda 3 at the show.

 

Hopefully the price is sweet enough got me to convert it into an actual booking.

No pricing guidance yet but rough estimation is around 90k at the current 25k COE.

I think in terms of looks, they borrowed heavily from the current 2018 Mazda 6. Even the grille design is copied from that.

 

Don't fault them, the current-gen Mazda 3 and Mazda 6 are already nice-looking sedans.

 

Other changes include:

1) Changes to interior

2) Change in rear suspension from the current multi-link setup to a simpler and cheaper torsion-beam setup

3) Change 2) supposed to bring slightly better rear leg room and larger boot space

Just casually took a few pictures from the Singapore Motor Show yesterday. The grille is fierce looking and boy the HU display is nice sia. For sharing.

Eh paiseh. Not sure. This is the LHD version. Don't think the specs are out yet. But I reckon there will be 1.5 and 2.0 versions as before.

Took a look at the Mazda 3 and kinda of disappointed as

 

1. Still average cabin material. Those so-called leather wrapped on various cabin areas look great on pic but not when you actually there to have a feel of it. It is the same like Subaru XV or Honda Vezel. Just a trend that Mazda has follow than to bring up the car standard.

 

2. Still limited space. The rear leg and shoulder room still on the compact side. It is much more less spacious as comparing with many other cars of its class.

 

3. Car body feels light like Jap than being conti. For instance, the boot door feels really light on the opening and close.

 

Now, really hope this model was outshine on the ride. Don't know why a left hand drive was brought in as motorshow display. Lol.

In budget segment, it has many rivals to compete still. Like Avante, Cerato, Sylphy, Civic etc.

Altis is out for now until the new model comes in...

All will easily beating Mazda 3 hands down on the comfort, quality and space....

 

Buyers at this segment would mostly priortise value for money at their top list.
