Went to my favourite xiao long bao restaurant in Shanghai for breakfast this morning - Jia Jia Tang Bao 佳家汤包.

Had a fast food lunch tastefully designed Chinese noodle restaurant on Sunday, He Fu 和府.

 

Decorarion really looks like a library with real books and customers encourage to take a book to read while enjoying Chinese noodles. Really love the zen design

The famous hairy crab is currently in season (Oct/Nov) and the origin is from Lake Yangcheng in Jiangsu province just slightly outside of Shanghai

 

A good friend, local Shanghainese, brought us to Yangcheng Lake on Saturday night for hairy crab dinner

Taking a walk around Zhujiajiao Town in the Qingpu district of Shanghai City

On Tuesday I visited a factory and because its very very rural they have a full kitchen to cater to all their 250 staff with VIP rooms for management and visitors. Was a pleasant surprise the food was pretty good from the factory

China so clean and neat ? And about the vegetable, think it is called the ice plant or ice vegetable. Managed to buy some from Sheng Shiong during CNY. First time buying and seeing it. After that no more leow.

It's Shanghai so they somehow take more care of cleanliness. Yes you are right it is known as 冰草.
