I have a fast check and the rental now is so expensive. Other rental company also ex. This is for 3 day price that I got online. if your company has partnership with the rental companies, it will be better to utilized the company's perks. i have been using my company's rates for personal trips for most of my trips unless the country or place do not have the rental company.

Not taking the company one because of some insurance condition. Company is using it own insurance to cover all car rental related, so basically after renting I will need to inform company to register for company insurance. As this is personal trip.

teomingern 6th Gear July 8, 2022 Share July 8, 2022 (edited) Car rentals really through the roof... I just checked... May to Jun 2023, 29 days, Heathrow to Edinburg Airports, Skoda Octavia auto, 2 child seats, Super Cover - $2037 pounds... is that madness or par for the course? Oh and is no one allows unlimited miles anymore? Edited July 8, 2022 by teomingern

Google and you can book the seats. But then, your shopping time will be restricted to the bus schedules.

Lot of demand, reduced supply of new cars coming in due to production issues. Not enough cars as many fleets were downsized during the last 2 years. And US resale car prices are at ATH. Not sure of this outlet, but for the Gilroy outlet at SF area. It is so much that is 2 portion when I visited donkey years ago. Need to drive from 1 side to the other side. Your quote is for total waiver of excess and may include the an overly expensive insurance premium.

Car owners use it to rent out their cars so prices are cheaper. You can try your luck there. I did not use it before cos there was a clause of 500miles distance only which was not enough for my road trip to Niagara falls. But for you to drive to Premium outlet only, more than enough. Do check them out.

Got lower range cars also. Look for those Nissan Maximus, Toyota Camry, Hyundai Tucson, Toyota Rav4, etc... But if you looking for Ford F150, Dodge Ram or Chevrolet Silverado, those big trucks, then difficult to find. Need to get from rental companies. These trucks definitely can haul all you can buy at the premium outlet. I did rent the Chevrolet Silverado to the premium outlet. Bought many stuffs including 1 big and 1 small suitcases.

If I going to rent will get a normal saloon or SUV, not going to spend too much on car rental. Not going for long distance driving like you, only a 2 to 3 days rental the most. Time in NYC will all be using public transport and maybe bicycle. YouTube saw that their share bike are very popular now. All my subsequent trips, I take cabs or use the train. ↡ Advertisement
