awhtc 6th Gear November 23, 2019 Share November 23, 2019 I also notice BM is usually the last few to get the latest Toyota model in the region since 15 years+ ago. It is likely that the old models are still selling well in Singapore and hence, can be used to clear the old stocks.

We want taxi grade 1.6L drivetrain, but with almost 1.8G kind of equipment specs. Yet we want the factory to give us a big 2DIN hole for the HU and aircon delete and steel wheels to keep the OMV as low as possible. And no factory leather yet we have powered driver seat which is usually a factory leathered option to go along with it. And we sell less Altis in a year than what our neighboring countries can sell in 2 weeks. Of cos we will be put into the bottom of the waiting list

Singapore's market sales is just a mere fraction compared to our neighbours like Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. Buying a car in these countries are akeen to buying a TV or fridge, every household will have 1. In Singapore, not every household/HDB unit owns a car. These locally/domestic assembled/manufactured Toyota vehicles are made affordable to the average household in these countries. In Singapore, we still treat these cars as some premium exclusive product that need special authorization to access the 2nd floor to view the Thaiyota Altis?!? Sg top sedan sales which is usually Hyundai, sold abt 700cars +- per month Imagine how long it take for Toyota to reach that target assuming Altis is the only sedan cars they r selling

I am glad only China market got such nonsense setup, The reviewer already said the large tablet did nothing for the OS responded slowly. Notice none of the HU supports Apple Carplay nor Android Auto. Ok, so google is banned in China, but Apple is not and Toyota is amazingly backwards in offering industry standards in terms of connectivity. Screen mirroring is not good enough. Those tiny 16in wheels looked so lost in the huge flared fenders... Too bad our Altis standard will come in this size also.
