Can ownself do it. No need call Citi.

Yes sir...UOB can use iBanking to set the sms alert

But DBS CSO told me that only she can do it

Maybe mine was compromised already

PS. Everybody please set up your sms alert for card transactions

Remember to check your monthly statement throughly

Thank you and stay safe

Actually the alert is helping both bank and card holders from card being compromised by hackers

If chargeable will be very unfair

Since bank also must play their part against hackers right?

Both parties benefited from this alert to cut losses

i am not sure one would be able to"buy' something over the internet by having

- name

- credit card number

- CVV

Perhaps it makes sense to cover up the CVV number to hide it in case some good memory fraudster can memorized them.

Website will ask for card expiry month and year as well [:)]

For more secure site will require buyer to key in the OTP (this is how many card holders knew card was compromised cos unknown purchase sms came in) [thumbsup]

PS. Good information for all MCFers [drivingcar]

Overseas website don't seem to have OTP.

Visa and Master servers actually have OTP if the merchant wants to have secure payment

But still there are some companies don’t want to pay for it

So in the end card holders got to take the risk

PS. I hope that all of us will set our own sms transaction alert for protection against fraud

Don’t be a victim like me...sob sob

Actually card centre ask me contact merchant regarding the purchases that are made by the hacker [:(]

So Apple CSO go through 1 by 1 with me...really tiring but no choice

This BolehLand Hacker use my card for iTunes and apple devices [dizzy]

Cos I didn't have transaction sms alert so if I cant explain then I will be responsibie for all the charges

Luckily this hacker asked for Apple free delivery to home address  [lipsrsealed]

Thank you  :a-toast:
