COE bidding - 1st round of December 2018

There are back orders from the recent car show, so it is unlikely that COE will crash.

Until the back orders are cleared, then you may see significant price movements in COE.

There were only 400+ unsuccessful bids for CAT A and  500+ for CAT B from the previous exercise, which means to say this kind of backlog after a car show is no big deal. This kind of back log is on the low side of the run rate,  no effect from car show.

It is not mandatory that all dealers must place a bid in all COE ex.

Therefore, unsuccessful bids data can be distorted.

Some of the dealers hold on to the bids in one exercise to observe, etc. Don't forget, their profit margins depend on COE price as one of the components.

this kind of back log will cause a crash easily.  [smash]

1 dollar?

Yes. One dollar only.

Suntec Hyundai Roadshow last Sunday, only few SE, all sit around. Only very few stop by, see the show cars and walk away.

No more left over Elantra stock clearing at crazy price, sure drop.

Really so bad? If so, it could mean their prices not so attractive afterall

Besides the Elantra stock clearance past few months (I think factory left a lot with no buyers, hence lelong with very low OMV), Hyundai not really a cheap brand.
