NEA shd just replace all our trees with safer trees, for goodness sake.

Palm trees wld be quite nice.Like the ones outside MBS hotel lobby. -_-

When I drive thru many roads, like Upper Thomson Road to Sembawang Road,

the branches are really scary, like anytime would fall. [:(]

Supercharged

Singapore really has alot of whiners. Too hot, complain not enough trees planted. So, we plant more trees.

Then the issues of too many cars on the roads, complain not enough roads or not wide enough. So, with demand for wider and roads, we cut down more trees or pave concrete/gravel over greenery.

For a tree to remain sturdy, the roots must be firmly grounded. But, roots has fight with concrete/gravel. Knowing that it will take years for it to be grounded, what are the chances of it being sturdy? Or worse, roots being cut off to make way for road expansion.

Thus, if anyone to blame, Men is the culprit. Or bluntly put, US! Stop calling for trees to be axed/pruned. At this rate, we are killing ourselves. Don't believe, ask those who stay in central part of Singapore where greenery are scarce. It is really hot and worse during hazy spells. Learn to live with it and think for our future generations.
