[Fire @ Block 120B Rivervale Drive]

At about 4.11pm today, SCDF responded to a fire at a 11th floor unit at Block 120B Rivervale Drive.

The fire involved the contents of the bedroom and was extinguished prior to SCDF arrival by the owner using buckets of water. The owner was conveyed to Singapore General Hospital for smoke inhalation.

Preliminary investigation into the cause of the fire indicates that it was of electrical origin from a Personal Mobility Device (PMD), which was charging at the time of the fire.

heng the fire was confined to the bedroom

Got registration number somemore. So when the fire certification kicks in next year, those registered  PMD that don't meet the fire standard will be "de-registered"?

Yah, fire extinguisher is a must nowadays man.

Just don’t place it next to a charging PMD. [laugh]
