louisbosco 3rd Gear September 10, 2019 Share September 10, 2019 still a fan of vettel. but i've to agree he makes too many unforced errors. seems like hockenkeim from last year is still haunting him. haven't seen him race well since that incident. coincidentally, it was also the race that lost him his WDC.. 😢
Ichibawa 5th Gear September 10, 2019 Share September 10, 2019 Damn..... Merc should not have extended Bottas's contract. He doesn't have the hunger and aggression shown by world champs. Can't even get close to striking range.

They looking for obedient racer.😁
VteckiCk 3rd Gear September 23, 2019 Share September 23, 2019 268,000 fans attend this year's F1 Singapore Grand Prix, second-highest on record congrats sebastian vettel and singapore for an entertaining grand prix last night. towards the end of the race, it was quite entertaining in the middle of the grid with 3 safety car incidents. other than that, race went on as per normal even with the haze

They cannot tailgate each other otherwise the brakes will overheat. So you see the top six keeping a 1+ sec gap from each other. Hamilton was like not pushing the front cars at all even at the end when he was close to Max. Vettel finally won a GP after so long, 392 days.

Theoldjaffa Hypersonic September 23, 2019 Share September 23, 2019 4 minutes ago, Kusje said: How does the haze affect the car brakes? The haze particles cause additional friction between the pad and rotor. more friction = more heat = more prone to brake fade.
Adrianli Hypersonic September 23, 2019 Author Share September 23, 2019 6 minutes ago, Kusje said: How does the haze affect the car brakes? Haze traps the heat within the island. The particles are burnt stuff also thus trapping heat in our environment.

Somehow I feel it’s abit taiko that he won. without the Safetycar and the pit stop strategy I think the winner will be Leclerc liao.

Yes. Luck was on his side. But look at how he overtook the four “back markers” before Hamilton pitted. Also him holding the pack before each safety car restart. Tyres, brakes, fluids all need cool airflow but following too closely affects cooling. Not sure how much the haze contributed to this, esp for a night race. Also the downforce is affected when following closely, which kills tyres faster. ↡ Advertisement
