Twincharged

More likely breakdown and hence need for repair than servicing.

Tbh, i never service my watches!

does an automatic winder helps in preventing breakdown ?

Vintage Rolex day.

Very nice meters first 5513 with long 5 insert

I sold a pristine one for slightly above $10k 3 yrs ago

Today its nearer to $20k

I no longer hv a 5513 in my collection after selling all 5 of them.

Only hv a 1967 Tudor 7928 .

Enjoy your Vintage Rolex!

My Tag Heuer Automatic watch stopped working few days back... the same also happened around 4 to 5 yrs back which I brought down to the authorised service center & they did a servicing which cost $400+. I supposed I'll need to bring the watch down again for another servicing to bring it back to life.

Is this normal for an automatic watch? Meaning just like our car, automatic watches needs to go for servicing at some regular interval? For my case, is it worthwhile to spend another 500 bucks (assuming some increased in price over these few yrs) meaning the 2 servicing would cost almost 50% of the cost of my watch?

For the more higher end watches like Omega & Rolex, also need the regular servicing?

Pardon my noob question & TIA  [:)]

Yes, my Rolex also Kena before.. they charged me $900.

When an auto movement stops the usual suspect is a broken mainspring

All it takes for a pair of skilful hands is about 20mins to remove the mainspring barrel and replace the mainspring.. an original Rolex mainspring can be had for about $100

For Tag heuer just use the standard swiss made mainspring. $50 to 60 kao tim

Bro is there any way to tell whether it's a Rolex mainspring or 3rd party one?
