Wonder this weekend showrooms will be crowded with panic buyers or empty.

here we will go again.

Panic buyers rush in during the rebound, willing to pay for guaranteed COE package.

Those previously on Non-G package will also be willing to pay for top-ups.

AD SEs all Chio-mi-mi all the way to the bank.

This kind of panic buying will push up the COE for the next few rounds, for sure.

And will stay at those high levels since COE growth is zero and the replacement quota for the next ten years will be 'Low'.

Cheap COE days are likely to be OVER.

Wonder this weekend showrooms will be crowded with panic buyers or empty.

Showrooms will be packed. Car distributors will inject fear in buyers and tell them that -

1) COE prices are set to rise further with the decrease in quota for the next quarter

2) Current prices are only valid this weekend. Next Monday, prices will increase by another $2,000 as "there were many cars booked"

3) And more lies...  [laugh]

With thousands of backlog bookings made when COE prices were lower the past few weeks,  do you think the dealers would dare bid high and end up reducing their profit?

Seems like COE is recession proof.  [laugh]

Looks like they would not allow coe to drop further to $20k and below?! think lowest coe was around $23k for cat A? Then game over liao and now coe going up.

Many pple also forgot that our minister alr said we need more FTs, and they r those with higher qualifications and spending power. Thus its no wonder the low coes wont last for long. Now its back to the 'norm' level of coe prices

i'm skeptical about the FTs with higher qualifications and spending power....seems more like importing cheaper labour than quality FTs

If you really look around, the ang mohs are not the ones driving the big cars...they can't bear to spend so much since the are used to 10-20k for a decent conti car back in their own country.

With that budget, you can't even buy that piece of blood sucking paper here  [lipsrsealed]

Even Cat A jumped so much! gojek is bidding up hybrid cars, also last week 150k public servants received their bonus....

Not all public servants get their bonus in march/April. Dont make sweeping statements, stat boards pay out is in may/June.

Why gap between A and B is so large, will CAT A catches up in the coming bid?

should I top up.?

Difficult to say, Cat A not so many models, Cat B ever since based on HP not cc a lot of cars fall into Cat B

But having said that high Cat B might promo certain buyers move to Cat A cars
