Thinking to change my tyre to Primacy4 but only 195/65R15 or 195/60R15 available.

So I am asking if 185/65R15 to 195/65R15 or 195/60R15? Which one is better?

The 195/65 has higher Load Index as well.

I am currently driving an Honda Freed Hybrid MPV. Sometimes fully loaded with 7 people. Thanks.

what do you mean by better ?

better in terms of comfort? 185/65R15 better

better in terms of ride firmness ?  195/60R15 better

better in terms of look?  change your rim, 15" will not look better than larger rims

but you cannot comply change your tyres size this way, you need to know your original size, when you change the width and profile of your tyres, the overall diameter has to be closed to the original size. Tyre shop would be able to help you. alternatively, post your original size here , i am sure bros here would help you with. key is you need to state  what you are looking for.

Get 195/65....but make sure it won't hit the Fenders when fully loaded.

Will don't you consider getting 205/60/15? This way the overall wheel size will be almost unchanged. But not sure if Primacy 4 is available in this size or whether this will cause your car to feel "heavy" although you will definitely get better grip with the 205 section.

I’m assuming your stock size is 185/65R15.

I would suggest you stick to 195/65R15. Downsizing to profile 60 would result in overall circumference to be smaller and speedo reading to be out by a little but not significant.

Unless you are upsizing the rim to 16, then you could go either 185/60R16 or 195/55R16.

Cheers!

Tire Size Comparison

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference

185/65-15 4.7in 12.2in 24.5in 76.9in 824 0.0%

195/65-15 5.0in 12.5in 25.0in 78.5in 807 2.1%

195/60-15 4.6in 12.1in 24.2in 76.1in 833 -1.0%

Assuming 185/65R15 is your stock tyre size, 195/60R15 will be a better alternative as it is only 1% difference in terms of circumference.  Your odo, speedo, etc will still be fairly accurate.

The Stock size is 185/65R15

While Primacy 4 only have 2 sizes for 15": 195/65R15 or 195/60R15

I got no concern for odo, speedo. My concerns are for the braking distance and cornering. 16" is not in my consideration currently.

The 195 is slightly wider than my stock tyre. And Primacy 4 should be far superior than the cheap dunlop ecosave. My previous MPV was on Primacy3.

just stick to stock size.

tyre size is designed for that particular circumference for many reasons.

it might not be a concern for driver, but its a concern for the car.
