Just by watching the video and not knowing the true full story, i cannot  agree how he could use such force on a lady except he is being threatened by her with a knife. 

 

I am surprised to hear it is ok. He could call in the police if she stole his property if i read it correctly.  Somemore he is a lawyer . It is interesting to understand how it was resolved and why for future case reference.  I am sure this can be cited as an example for defence.
