Am I right to say she is not jaywalking since the nearest designated pedestrian crossing is more than 50m away?

So now she's in hospital with her injuries??

But she wasn't jaywalking.

If she had taken more care and responsibility with her well being she'd now be going about her daily business.

I hope she and other pedestrians learns from this

So the camera cannot capture these motorcycle plates?

Singapore Speed cameras should be capturing from the rear, not from front.

Our law is too lenient on these pricks, suspect license for 5 year for any red light runner and see how people will pay more attention while driving.

Not enough enforcement is another reason, i have hardly seen any traffic police vehicle on road unless they are present at scene or they are going to do some work which is not related to traffic. Even at times i see vehicle violating road rule while TP still cursing along like nothing happen.

As i am on it, seen trucks/heavy vehicle driving in 2nd or 3rd lane forcing people to go to first lane while 4th lane is empty (Happening on daily basis over Keppel viaduct toward MCE).

Jaywalker auntie sent flying into the air at East Coast Road

People prefer convenience over safety, i am sure crossing would be around the corner but no everyone want to reach to their destination ASAP. Also seems driver was not paying any attention on road whatsoever (unless his view was totally obstructed which we cant see from cam car).

1. fainted, or

2. depression, or

3. using handphone

Anyone use first two accuse should be taken off road for long time, how can they assured they would not repeat same offense if allowed to drive again?

why would the biker speed up?

Didn't understand what you mean by why biker speed up? Should he stop and give way to the person who is cutting across 4 lane without looking out for 2 wheeler?

The point is why should the biker chose to put himself in danger where he could avoid totally.

Others can be an azzhole and it's their choice. Likewise for rider who can choose to be safe.

Yes, the device is capable to capture front or back.

But during TP enforcement in SG, most (or all) the time is using the back..

Always see them on the bridges along Bradell and Lornie.
