Not sure if there is a better or more direct way. But one possible way to do it is to get the original VRN retained. When the VRN is retained, a new VRN will be issued to this vehicle. If the motor dealer is authorised as an Electronic Service Agent, you only need to pay $100. Otherwise quite costly.

Correction, there is no $100 retention as an ESA. Unless for NEW cars registration only.

Either way u retain pay 1300 and register on NEW vehicle and get 1200 back. LPPL thingy

Walk into LTA and get a new assigned number pay 1300 and done.

Thanks. So if you can find a new car owner willing to take over your number then you only need to pay $100.

The previous owner didnt retain carplate? Old plate not good meh? The new assigned plate might not be nice either wor...

If u wanna change plate for a used car, it’s gonna be costly... no point give LTA that $.
