Who is the winner of HK riots

By an Ang Mo by the name of Hans Otto Kroeger

HK protests (and riots) have the full attention of all western media. The western media wanted some blood to run. They predicted a Chinese intervention and a “massacre”, and told us, before anything happened, that China certainly would intervene and cause a massive bloodbath; they also told us, in bold headlines, the first “martyr” and at a closer look it seems he fell from a building while unfolding a banner. So, obviously there is to little blood to make a story that western media can sell to their stupid audience. So, they call for more blood, they call for a Chinese intervention, but nothing happens. So, when nothing happens there are no news.

On the other hand, what the protesters demand is not reasonable, is illogical, given the special administration for HK. Published in a western media as a “claim for liberty and democracy” sounds ridiculous even to a brainwashed western capitalism supporter. They can’t do that anymore. So, sorry, but your “protests” won’t get attention anymore, capitalism lost, and lost in a ridiculous way, as they “invested” in a speculative intervention of the “very, very evil Chinese communists” (that would be the “after facts” statement of Donald Trump).

Who is the general winner after those protests? Obviously the Chinese government and the Chinese Communist Party. Who are the losers? Hong Kong - no longer will it be considered a safe haven for capital; UK, and US, who invested money and trust into the hope of a military intervention from China, and just the opposite happened. Now what? Neither Trump, nor CIA, nor the UK government can sustain anymore their ridiculous statement of the “very, very evil Chinese communists”: The statement went simply ridiculous. Xi Jinping never will say it, because he is a well educated man; but: Mister Trump; Mister Pompeo; Mister Abrams; Mister Bolton; Lords of England: You are the losers in this battle, and you lost miserably without even the need for anyone of us to raise a hand! You have been trapped in your own mousetrap!

Dont junk me but when I read of the riots and beatings done by the rioters in the name of democracy, I am reminded of the minister who said

"Gang rape is democracy in action" - or something like that.

Some one in hwz says something like HKers have been brainwashed that in the name of democracy, everything is permissible.  That's why they keep rioting.

China pushed back American forces in North Korea in 1951.

China invaded border regions of North Vietnam in 1979 after Vietnam invaded Cambodia to pacify the khmer rouge regime there. Note that China supported Vietnam during the Vietnam war.

A total of 180,000 Chinese soldiers were killed while they fought with North Korea against US aggression in the early 1950s, a Chinese major general said ahead of the 60th anniversary of the Korean War, which fell last Friday.

I think you missed the point, China did not ever shot a single shot as an aggressor.

Nk was the aggressor in 1950. Drove south Korean and un forces to busan. Over rest of 1950, Usa led UN forces counter attack past Seoul and the original 38th parallel deep into North Korea. The Chinese crossed over the yalu and began attacking in late 1950 which was a surprise attack with zero declaration.

That's fact.

You can say that China was securing its border and vassal state as its warranted to do. The Chinese didn't want a USA friendly Korea just across the yalu River.

It's also highly unlikely that the Americans were going to start ww3 with the Chinese (though there was no diplomatic relations with the mainland since 1949). Their aim was the pacification of the Korean peninsula in support of SK.

To say that the Chinese weren't the aggressor in the Korean peninsula is totally inaccurate. The Chinese fired the first shots at the Americans pursuing North Korean forces. In fact it was a massive surprise attack.

The Prince Edward MTR Station police brutality incident last night.

https://www.scmp.com/news/hong-kong/law-and-crime/article/3025241/chaos-hong-kongs-mtr-network-police-chase-protesters

This is the full video of the incident. Most videos circulating online will have the first half edited away to sell the story. Black shirts nowadays also change shirt color upon hearing police arrival. As to who is innocent and who is troublemaker I leave you to judge for yourself.

It saddened me to see it again the very proof that human never learn from history...

Those gutless brainless low life deserve their lows in life going forward for the deeds...

I applaud those who stood the ground on righteousness despite outnumbered, out-strength... I also salute that lady who was assaulted for taking video of the rioters...

may the majority of HK people get to enjoy the peace once again soon.

I think the decisive battle is Battle of Inchon which is under NK.

Interesting article

https://thestandnews.com/politics/真正的焦土派/

Quote

It has to be settled this week.  Otherwise, XJP no face.

In previous years, National day was organised by Premier.

This year organised by President.

Dying for Kim Korea. 🙄

Better to keep low profile,  not sure even their great propaganda machine can spin it as a positive to today's Chinese citizens.

Maybe just some propaganda. On the Korean War, with no surprise hearing KMT POW soldiers were forced to fight there. http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/feat/archives/2016/01/17/2003637384 "A former KMT soldier, Lee was captured by the communists at the end of the Chinese Civil War and forced to serve in the enemy’s army. Just a year later, he was ordered to aid the Korean communists in the Korean War.."
