Land Acquisition Act

There are a lot of land in NT in the hand of descendent of big 4 clan under so call 丁權.  The Brits tries to do take over their land but failed.

Since these ppl are related to triad, i am not sure whether HK govt initiated any land reform after 1997

EDB and GLCs

PRC fill the gap left by HK SME with China GLC and corporate.  Concurrently, PRC FT was brought in as well.

It does not help employment situation in HK.

iSA

Hock Lee bus riot was related to leftism and ISA was used.

HK 1967 riot was started by leftist.  Surprising Brits did not use ISA.

Accountability, legitimacy and Opposition

Article 45 revisited.

Quote

A strong leadership is needed to go up to Beijing to revisit the Basic Law and introduce legitimacy and accountability to governance. In that light, universal suffrage may not be a bad idea after all. So that when a democrat eventually wins and still can’t solve all their social and economic woes, Hongkongers will have no one to blame but only themselves.

Most ppl that was arrested has to surrender their travel document.

Without sufficient evidence to support travel request, unlikely court will approve it especially those filght risk.

There is more than enough evidence against Joshua and Agnes. The HK govt or China is just to lenient to charge and throw them into jail. Instead, the govt allows  him to "sashay" to other countries from Taiwan to Germany and now to USA to speak against the HK govt and China after himself created so much shit for the HK people. Which country will allow that if someone has cause so much instability to a country. If this would have happened in another country, it would have been instrumented to restrict or have him detain until shiok shiok. Some people are just testing the patience of the authorities and have to learn the hard way especially the young ones who think they have seen life or the world and do things their way without considering.

That old snake LKS.... just say some ambigious words - basically 模棱两可 - hoping that his words can be interpreted by either side as supporting them.

I strongly hope China will give him and his company a good whacking. They leech off HK, cause many of the issues today and still trying to act like kind old hero.

The other one is the owner of the shopping malls that "ban" police in order to wayang to the rioters. Hope they kena too.

革命

原指改革天命,即改朝换代。现指被压迫阶级用暴力夺取政权,摧毁旧的社会制度,建立新的社会制度,推动社会向前发展

Good luck to them. Hope they will not 把自己的命革掉

There is no National Security Law in HK.  It is so much that Judicial system can do to both of them.

His ability to travel overseas under bail is approved by court.  Are you challenging the creditability of judge in charge?

Currently, he is being charged for organising June 21 protest.  If there is sufficient evidence to charge him, why govt has to be lenient to him?

There are more than 1,200 detained since the protest started.  It is a huge workload on Justice System.  Any easily convicted cases would have been closed on 1st instances.

If look at it positively, there are so many hidden talents within HK society.

Why are not these talent being properly deployed?

There's always talent in any society. If humans reject a certain social structure, they will create one of their own. Protest movements have a tendency to do so in particular.

When u use the word "revolution" in front of the CCP lol...

There will always be a reason why human reject certain social structure.

There are a lot of deep-rooted problem that accumulated over time.  Has any one in "power" care/listen?

Current situation is akin to Chernobyl nuclear plant explosion.  All "toxic material" is not spill everywhere now.

screw up housing policies (this one is the most deadly)

screw up healthcare policies (not enough hospital beds, healthcare staff underpaid overwork, prc mama come hk to give birth)

screw up education policies (changing primary school syllabus to “love” home country)

screw up transportation policies (mtr project blow

budget like running water tap)

screw up commercial & development policies (rentals go up up to sky and all 100-years local shops close and all shop want to sell goods to prc day runner only ... shop rental no HKD$1M per month no talk, all the bigs boys bao jiak)

screw up national policies to engage the people (inclusiveness) including young and old ... young feel no future no opportunities ... old feel broke and dead end rely on “fruit money” handouts

all the above sounds so “familiar” to us ... muahahaha

We are far from the above. I know the 30% won't like what i say, the sg govt does generally respond quite fast by worldwide government standards.

Over the last decade, everyone bitch that new estates not enough childcare/pre-schools. Last 4 years, massive expansion of childcare/MOE kindergarten. Creating them at unprecedented rates.  In fact so much so, i feel that it's crushing the private kindergartens which my kid is going to. All the church kindergartens bar the famous ones are all dying. Even ones with very long history.

But granted that in HK, everything has always been "squeezed". But now, they squeeze all the juice out, until only left the pulp for the normal folks.

maybe the authorities are hoping that these two flee to another country.

then they can be labelled as quitters I mean, traitors.

And hope that the protest loses steam.

but will these two do that? remains to be seen...

Yes, I hope peace can come back to the many in HK. Carrie Lam maybe chosen to lead HK but nothing is stopping the students to study hard  to improve the lives of the HK people or HK. Many common folks make good changes to other people lives without the need for violence. Those shit stirrers are just selfish trouble-makers trying to act like heroes making things difficult for HK. No matter how much HK suffer, China would never give in to them and everyone knows it. That will be the end result, it is a zero sum game.  Anyway, protesting is possible to vent frustration, provided they don't inconvenience the rest of the public by purposely obstructing the major transport system, quarrel and even beat up the common folks till the stage where families are broken up. They know what is democracy ? Worst, they have gone over board when they carry another country flag and singing another country anthem in their own soil.  Don't they know the seriousness of it. This is treason and the protestors are damn lucky HK govt  failed to wipe them out.
