Hong Kong protesters demonstrate against extradition bill

Recommended Posts

Leadership makes a whole lot of difference. Hard line is certain, but has to be swift and not dragged out over months and not appear to be indecisive like the LegCo or Yuen Long case. If you want to call for a curfew, let's call for a curfew, if you want to call for clamp down, then let's do a clamp down.

You look at the protests in PRC, they are not lacking in riots but very rarely drag on for months. It doesn't mean that they were shooting people every time or it would look ridiculous.

One possibility is that CCP and HKPF may be lacking in intelligence this time about the organization of the protests, much of which would have to come from grassroots and cyber espionage. Another is that CP has not been actively acting on intelligence.

To resume order is more of a political question.

The HKPF can only go more hardline. But that should be based on political will.

Not sure what this guy coming in can do. The troops on the ground are still the same troops.

It's famous in SG, but many people up north are still calling him (and the rest of us) a puppet of the West nonetheless.

Yeah sure.

We all know the score. And that story is pretty famous in singapore.

Hence i'm dubious that she's just a regular consulate staff. It's at least even odds that she's CIA

Currently, HKPF is too soft (from CCP perspective). Very likely CCP directive since their representatives have been watching the situation from SZ.

There is a reason behind.

Last time riot, the rioters were charged in court and the sentence was 2-3 months jail.

But the police who beat up the rioters kena 2-3 years jail.

Reason being, the judges are angmo.

I watch one video say one. I think it is not fake news.

That might explain why the protesters are so daring.

Police point gun at the protesters will kena 2-3 years jail.

During Occupy Central, there are 7 policeman got caught on video beat up Ken Tsang.

This beating was done while culprit was tied with cable tie.

These 7 policeman includes a Senior Inspector of OCTB.

Whether Ken Tsang provokes the beat up or not, police is supposed to act professionally.

Of the 7, 2 was released in June 2017 after appeal.

The remaining 5 have their sentence substantially reduced.

The 3 judges think that the previous sentence was excessive.

They make sure the mall ban polices first, then go riot outside the mall, when police chase they run inside the mall take cover, and show the police :a-happy: ....

If The mall let police go inside make arrest, next day sure kena from the rioters like Osama is inside must flip the place to find him, and then rioters will come everyday non stop to look for Osama..... [laugh][laugh][laugh]

This one sounds like catching :XD:

Like mustank said. Joker need Batman to play with.

It really sucks to be a HK policeman right now.

Want to whack rioters to vent some anger, then got journalist go chup.

Want to take leave go holiday, probably all non-urgent leave has been suspended for now

Want to go home after work, take off uniform already, then realise MTR not working or roads blocked.

Only time to take a break is when typhoon hits.

[laugh]

Think the HKPF needs to be given R&R in Dongguan. It's really macham like fighting a mini-war (can get finger bitten off but with no death)

Wait the policeman resign do other job

Then no policeman

After HSBC, now Cathay Pacific. Beijing is sending signal to HK business that you cannot against Beijing and still expect to extract profit from mainland.

  一是自2019年8月10日零时起,对所有参与和支持非法游行示威、暴力冲击活动,以及有过过激行为的人员,立即停止其执飞内地航班或执行与内地航空运输活动相关的一切职务活动;

  二是自2019年8月11日零时起,向其在内地的运行合格审定机构报送所有飞往内地和飞越内地领空的机组人员身份信息,未经审核通过,不予接收该航班;

Pro-Beijing leader posts photo of CIA agent, creates chaos. Twist: It is Matt Damon from Jason Bourne

A Pro-Beijing leader posted a photo of a “CIA agent” and said that he is “stirring up chaos” in Hong Kong. Do note that the picture actually features Matt Damon from Jason Bourne.

The internet is busy laughing over a tweet that has surfaced online and features Hollywood actor Matt Damon. No, sorry, a "CIA agent. " We'll explain the whole deal. But if you are wondering why the internet is amused, it's because of a viral post in which the actor was mistaken for a "CIA agent" on account of his role in his film Jason Bourne.

As per a tweet shared by  Ray Kwong, a Pro-Beijing leader posted a photo of a "CIA agent" and said that he is "stirring up chaos" in Hong Kong. No prizes for guessing that the CIA agent in question is actually a picture of Matt Damon from Jason Bourne.

This Ray Kwong what an idiot.
