It is difficult for a number 2 to immediately take over the job. I remember reading somewhere that a number two's Job scope is to complement #1. A bit like rsm and co.

 

#2 would be the white face to scoope out the dirt and secret, aka care for soldier. Whereelse #1 wouldake all the tough decision, and discipline matters. Or vice versa.

 

A bit like how parents behave. One strict one more relax. Children got someone to turn to when one parent applies the pressure

Ox is Klopp's faviourite and his personality is most similar to Klopp.

 

During the penalty shoot out against Chelsea Klopp had his arm around as assistant

 

and the other arm around Ox.

 

If you search the internet there are so many pics of Klopp and Ox more like brothers than manager and player.

Good match last night, beating Arsenal 3-1 at home. Was a little shaky at times, esp. with Adrian's clearance that went straight to Auba, and then Hendo's attempt at emulating Gerrard's slip 😅 as the last man...

In the end, should have been more comfortable, but couldn't get the first clean sheet this season.

Worry is that there is still no able replacement for the front three... Need to find a decent solution to it.

Arsenals' tactics for the game at anfield was truly peculiar to say the least. They played a diamond formation with the intention to fortify the central spaces and to play counter-attacking football. I can't even remember the last time such tactics were ever played by a gunners' team and it is no surprise, its players on the pitch look completely at sea.  Robertson and TAA had a field day with so much spaces to run into and whip in crosses after crosses. A total of 18 crosses were made in the game by them.  TAA contributed with an assist for the 1st goal (corner) and it was his pass to Firmino to set up Salah, who was tucked by Luiz for a soft penalty. 

The tactical setup was obviously borne out of desperation and an insecurity that if they play their normal game, they would be easily ripped apart by Pool.  However, the diamond is really one of the last formation you will bring to Anfield given the attacking prowess of the Pool's full back.  Klopp was laughing to himself during the post game interview.

Pool's pressing for the game was outstanding, They gave Arsenal no time to dwell on the ball and they won the ball even it even crossed the half way line.  The intensity and desire was so clear to see. Arsenal couldn't live with Pool and it was a miracle in itself that Pool only opened account in the 41st minute.  Once the 1st goal went in, Arsenal's game plan was even further down the drain.  10 minutes into the 2nd half, Pool upped the intensity even further and David Luiz then had his usual moments of madness and gifted Salah with a double.  But make no mistake about it, it was the brilliance of Pool and particularly Salah who made Luiz looks so ordinary. His 2nd goal looks like Messi's type of finish.  3-0 and game over

The only concern remains the non-clean sheet. Pool's defence was breached 3rd time in a row this season.  Adrian had nervy moments but again made some decent saves.   3 games into the season and Pool still cant register a clean sheet. That's a slight cause of concern. Can't wait for Alisson's return in all aspects. 

all in all, 3 wins out of 3 to open the season. There were some doubters who raised questions whether Pool would be deflated by last season's tragic loss of the title by 1 single point. The answer to these critics ring loud and clear.  Pool is the only left team left to defend its 100% record in the top flight this season.  Pool's other competitors for the Top 4 -  Utd and Spurs' losses just made the weekend even sweeter.

Great Result. Though we rode our luck at times.

The win was better than the scoreline reflected.

At this Stage, 3 out of 3. No complaints.

Next up, Away to Burnley.

TAA and Robbo not only had a field day, they had the whole field in front of them to themselves. 

 

TAA had the right of the field to himself and Robbo had the left of the field to himself. 

 

It's like a training day of crossing. 

 

No one close them down.

Undercover agent Harry Wilson aka the Young Torres scored a great goal against the City of Manchester team.

If it goes down to goal difference the -1 by Agent Wilson might make all the difference.
