Good draw. We go again. First game is away to Napoli, then Salzburg before the double with Genk.

No complaints, manage to avoid the traditional heavy weights and the traveling time is also not too excessive.

A good night (or day, in their time zone) for Pool.

2 players getting 3 indiv honour, one top one as well.

And the draw has also been kind, though not the best. But already good. Must hope to avoid losing to Napoli again. The win over them was in some way, fortunate last season or we wouldn't even have progressed. And pre-season - though meaningless - just lost badly to them, so must be careful about them. Hopefully the road will be smoother this season, and can secure qualification early, then even let the fringe players have a taste of UCL soccer at some stage.

OK, hope tmr beat Burnley convincingly.

Pool's draw in the UCL is already quite good as it avoids all the top clubs across Europe.   Just look at the spanish clubs' groups and you'll realised that Pool's path to the knock out stages is so kind.  Genk and Salzburg are newbies in this competition.

Once again, City's group is so straightforward and easiest amongst the english club.   A bit kelong..

How did Group G get together in the 1st place.  no big club at all.. this is ridiculous!

Old boys reunion.

Genki is Origi old club and RB is Mane and Keita old club.

:D

So we have inside information about them.

precisely... To Pool, it's not bad liao if we look within the group itself only.

but when look at G, then we will feel it can be better...

then again, if look at F, then really will be glad that it didn't happen to us... a bit like last season's case...

Spurs' group is also quite tough with Bayern as the top seed.

But nothing compared to Groups A and F - looks like groups of death to me with at least 3 good/top clubs therein.  Will PSG still have the guts to sell Neymar? Without him, I think the overall quality of the squad just drops a significant notch...

A is not as bad as F. F is really the jialat one.

PSG and RM should be able to handle Galatasaray and Club Brugge. The only worry is whole is winner and who is runner-up. Not likely to have upset from the other 2 unless RM screws up - which I hope they will. Maybe Mig becomes superman against them and someone Brugge nicks a goal... then RM goes Europa 😍

If PSG sells Naymar to RM, then will be strange liao... digging their own grave.

Spurs also should prevail, if they can avoid any banana skin.

But F is nighmare. Barca, Dortmund and Inter all not easy - anything might happen.

Tonight we travel to Burnley.. a difficult place to get all 3 points.. will it be the end of our less than perfect but 100% start to this season?

Will we see Shaqiri appearing in first XI? Is OX starting in midfield? Will we see youngsters on the bench?

Burnley is going to tackle hard, so i hope the boys can bring the balls further and avoid any Burnley players having the chance to tackle us, lest anyone gets injured.

Must win to keep city at arm's length, esp with the int'l break coming up.
