No doubt in terms of tricks and dribbling, salah has the upper hand.

But given the choice, I would have taken off salah and not mane to get the message across.

Origi is indeed looking more confident in his football.

Salah gonna see benchtime soon... Klopp take no prisoners when a player thinks too highly of oneself.

Ya man.. just saw the video again... he twist and turn until the ball was on his right foot and there was a gap just nice for him to push the ball onto the path of an on rushing Firminho... then Salah tried shooting on his weaker foot....

At Liverpool if a player doesn't track back he gets a good rollocking as that opens up Liverpool to an attack and giving away a goal.

This is to win games.

What is the difference with players not passing to get a certain goal?

Not getting goals also leads to not winning games.

😀

It's a pity that the Mane-Salah spat became the main talking point of this game.

The fact was that Pool played one of its best away performances in recent history.  Along they years, Turf Moor is Burnley's stronghold and they have burned many top teams down with their direct and confident football on this ground.  Even Klopp was surprised that Pool had the option to ease off the throttle with 10 min to go and he then proceeded to give Mane and Bobby a rest, only to ignite the Mane's sparks.  It was an uncharacteristic outburst from Mane, who is usually quite cool and chill.

The issue was that Pool were already 3 goals up and deep into the 2nd half.  The win was assured.  The only problem is that Salah hasn't added to his tally while Bobby and Mane has already registered. Salah then took it upon himself to keep the ball at all costs in order to shoot on goal, irregardless of whether other players were in better-positioned. Both Bobby and Mane were "victims" of these non-selfless acts.   While Bobby wasn't affected the least - he being Bobby is one of the most selfish no. 9 out there, Mane took issue significantly.   Klopp was still smiling at him while he was remonstrating on the bench.

I think such things would happen and this is a matter of friction of playing alongside each other for too long.   In terms of "selfishness" index, Salah will rank 1st followed by Mane.  Bobby is the least and the most moderated amongst the front 3.  While there have been a bit of comments out there, I think this issue has been blown out of proportion. The fact remains that both Mane and Salah will be aware that they would still need each other in order to play well.  Klopp will definitely stepped in and manage this well. Given his man-management skills and close relationships with Mane and Salah, I am quite confident that this issue will be under control.

One thing I am sure Klopp won't do is to materially restrict Salah fully in his selfishness. Take away that, and that Salah will become a lame duck.  Top strikers are always selfish, it is a fact that their teammates have to live with. What Klopp can and should do is improve their decision making skills so that they can learn to roll the ball to players who are in better position rather than take on impossible shots from all angles.

International break comes in handy to cool the egos until 2 weeks later.

City is sweating on the knee injury sustained by Laporte.  They have only 1 fit CB in Otemendi with Stones also currently injured.

Now Euro transfer windows closed, Klopp can KPKB at both Mane & Salah over last weekends incidents.... :pissed-off:

KPKB too early, one of them might submit transfer at a last minute request and many Euro teams waiting like eagle eyes for either one ... :ignoring:

Bobby Duncan off to Viola in Italy...

Was never a way back after that outburst whether or not from agent

Understand that Bobby Duncan's agent was cut out of the Fiorentina transfer deal.

No loan deal -just straight £1.8m sale, with LFC having 20% future sell-on clause.

Ryan Kent also moving to Rangers for 7M.

Add on to 20M for Ings and 8 M for Mignolet plus some fee for H Wilson

It was said that Liverpool made 44M this window. The numbers dun add up.. maybe Coutinho contributed as well lol

a truly positive (net surplus) transfer window for Pool.  there are certainly monies available however Klopp has elected to keep his powder dry.

this may serve to increase the level of expectations for the next round of spending spree. I kind of suspect Klopp has found his targets and bidding his time to get his hands on them..

Keeping the front three stable can only be good for us. Later parts of the video we started seeing more telepathic team goals.

Can feel more opponents are reacting and adjusting their play to counter us. Which will ultimately work in our favour.

One interesting aspect of the game at Burnley is that Klopp altered his strategy and tactical setup.

Instead of insisting on playing out from the back and controlling the tempo of the game, the defenders were given liberty to play slightly more direct football by seeking the forwards with long balls.  The aim is to quicken the pace to get to the second balls.  It was an interesting tactics deployed and could have largely taken the opponent by surprise.  The keenness and drive to get to the 2nd balls was the key in dominating the game in their defensive 3rd and eventually could penetrate the opposition's defense.

Yes interesting. Not sure why the impression that Klopp is all about the passion and intensity and none of the tactics

i think the last 2 seasons., he has shown to be astute in terms of tactical changes and strategy.

Maybe it’s because Klopp usually credit his players for wins and take the blame for losses, hence making himself look inept in games where pool drops pts

while being a top coach and manager, it doesn't mean that Klopp can walk on water i.e. make perfect decisions all the time.

What is assuring is that he does get it right most of the time and he learns from mistakes fairly quickly.  His decision making is often strategic and well-calibrated, hence the results in the last 2 seasons doesn't lie.

With the more limited resources at hand as opposed to oil money tap at the Etihad, it is every miracle that Pool is able to compete with City last season and increasing the same pattern this season.
