Its a very good point.

We are still 6 points ahead after 9 games

and Utd are in the bottom half at 13.

Man U are just 2 points above the relegation zone.

Soon Utd will be in the relegation zone as they only play hard against Pool

and can't be bothered against any other team.

:D

2 minutes ago, Shorty said:

he did too much for his country liao.

Firmino also tired as he scored against Senegal in Singapore.

They should save their goals for Liverpool.

Referee imo favor man utd more, those 50-50 all went utd way. Fabinho yellow card for tactical foul, but united players not given for similar fouls.

Not the best of performance from liverpool, a point earned is a step closer towards the holy grail.

Man U treat this like their cup final whenever they meet Pool at home.

Next week they will play like their usual form again.

Getting a draw with this fixture out of the way is good.

Guys and fellow LFC supporters,

It's away to Old Trafford and to be honest, I just can't get too upset with gaining a point. Every year, the Man U - LFC fixture is the most anticipated fixture on the PL Calendar. The reason is simple, the clash of the two most decorated teams in EPL, winning the EPL Trophy a total of 38 times in history. As such, form and league table position counts for nothing. Every player will be fired up for this and yesterday's showing just prove that regardless how bad Man U is this season, when it comes to this game, they are different.

Credit for Man U for making lives difficult for LFC and for keeping us on the toes for close to 90% of the match. The Man U goal should have been disallowed as Origi was fouled before the counter attack. Regardless the challenge being strong enough, a foul is a foul and play should be halted. VAR has again proved to be inefficient in this sense. Mane's goal was a no-brainer and rightfully disallowed.

But also credit to LFC Players for letting their heads down and continue pushing and pressing until Lallana came in and score the equaliser.

While I am disappointed for LFC not continuing its winning streak, the character of the team gave me hope that this may be the season we have been waiting for the past 30 years.

March on, we will be with you, YNWA!

it's good pt saved at the end of the day.

With the team (esp in midfield) set up by Klopp and without Salah, the team doesn't have alot of attacking options. Utd were pegged back most of the game and looked for counters.

the EPLVAR system is clearly not working and Origi was so clearly fouled however the VAR just wouldn't over-turned it. The limited use of the VAR is getting to the nerves of most people that unless there are clear parameters - offside or no offside, ball touched hand and didn't, the on-field referee's decisions will always prevail.

with all 3 attacking midfielders on the pitch - Keita, Ox and Lallana, Pool managed to penetrate the defence and got a goal. This game is almost a repeat of last season visit as Klopp again went for conservative and did not introduce more attacking thrusts until late on.

3-5-2 formation used by Utd is increasing a popular formation used by teams against Pool for bus-parking purposes.  using the formation tends to choke pool's front 3 attack thru the middle and the width provided by the fullbacks.  Pool needs to have another outlet from midfield to penetrate the middle and sad this was not available until Klopp subbed the likes of Hendro and Gini out.

The winning run ends.  Nothing to be too alarmed as it is always going to end at some point. The team is still well positioned to capitalised its 6-pt advantage with a quarter of the season played.  In the last game, City played with no CBs, with 2 DMs in the middle of defense.  this is clearly a bigger issue for them at the moment.

For long period, Pool was unrecognisable from the dominant team of last season, or early this. Something is not going well for Pool, and it's not just one-off - they haven't been playing well for a few matches already, so let's hope they can get back to the good form soon.

Hopefully it's not a case of burnt-out for those who were busy with COPA, AFCON, etc.

Origi is still not good enough as a starter. Either give him more game time and hope he improves much more, or we will need to place our hopes elsewhere. I look at Chelsea's youngsters, and unfortunately I think Origi is still not as good as them. Add to that Mane and Firmino also didn't play well, and we were not creating chances at all in the first half.

Midfield is all 3 'boriing' players, who can score 100% for efforts, but lacking in creativity. Time to start the likes of Ox, Keita, or even Lallana and hope they can create more openings in midfield. When TAA and Robbo are not crossing enough/well, we're really starved of service.

Matip just came back, and can see him struggling with Rashord's pace. Hope Matip will regain his good form again soon.

What is worrying is that we still can't unlock packed defence. From SG's slip till now, we are still struggling with carving parked buses open. Looks like must get one eatablished or promising creative midfielder...

Anyway, UCL next. Hope we fare better, and can resume winning.

in a game like this, where u know the opponent is gonna sit back n play boring football, i wouldnt hv started hendo. yes, he can sometimes bring stability in midfield. but when u need that attacking prowess from midfield, having there is useless. he bring nothing going forward. saw the stats for keita. he did more in that 20odd mins he played than hendo did in his 70mins. klopp needs to try different combo for midfield for different type of opponents.
