Cauldron 6th Gear November 10, 2019 Share November 10, 2019 We have won against top 6(excluding us) and draw the 7th team. City has only played us in the top 7 and kosong pts. Fooblack Supercharged November 11, 2019 Share November 11, 2019 Despite the VAR controversy, few will be blinded enough to argue that Pool were not worthy winners. The game set up was perfect with Klopp treating City to the type of discomfort that they are not used to. They do not have a single moment of peace on the ball and although they did have more shots like Pool and shaded it in terms of possession (55% vs 45%), the truth is that City looked 2nd best throughout the game. Once the ball reaches their final 3rd or during Pool's counters, you can see the amount of panic all over the City's players. This is not how they play week in week out. They were treated to Pool's superior press. Hence, if you ask me, the front 3 usually gets the limelight. But in this game, the winning factor was the middle 3 who stifled City's attack and possession. Fabino had one of the finest game of his career for sure and his goal was worthy to win any game. Kun Aguero and Raheem Sterling, for all their WC abilities and scoring records against other teams, continued to struggled at Anfield. Augero has yet to register a goal at anfield in all his years at City. Let this sink in for a moment. 9 pts clear of City and 8 pts clear of Chelsea and Leicester. This is the advantage built with blood and sweat over 12 games. 2/3 of the season to go and Pool has to march on on this title charge with no letting up.

Some say if you reach 40 points the team will be safe from relegation. Pool not there yet.. so let’s keep it tight.. steady and let the 3 blue teams “draw” each other.. by then maybe just maybe.. Atrecord Supersonic November 11, 2019 Share November 11, 2019 A match that got off to a fast and furious start. A big let off with the TAA incident, and quickly things turned bad for City, with Fab's precision thunderbolt. Shows a different perspective of the destroyer-at-large that we've gotten so used to. 👍 2nd goal was amazing, with the cross-field passes that were flawless. Can see that for all of fernaldinho's experience, he's still a make-shift CB. Mo scoring with the head, must be trying not to lose to Mane 😆 Hendo, who played his part, but wasn't fantastic, did provide a good assist to Mane, who was like Robbo ghosting into far pole to plant in a headed goal. Pool took 3 points, lots of confidence plus feel-good factor away. While we were worthy winners, but things were not always one-sided, as the 3-0 scoreline at some point suggested. The truth is that TAA is still very naive at defending at times, and when in the box, should really keep him arms behind his body. City likes to play all sort of mid-air (not on the ground) passes, so after one let-off in the first half, he should have learnt his lesson and avoid giving anyone fodder to even think of penalty. And good think it's not that idiot Atkinson in this match. Things could have been very different. If he hid his hands, that's nothing to worry about. Just think of Sissoko in UCL finals, and he (and all) should learn the lessons - intentional or not, if really call for handball, can't argue with it. And City just failed to capitalise on their chances. There were quite a few good chances, and they had converted them, again things could have been very different. Our defence at set pieces is surprising weak. Will need to step up on that. Next round will have Chelsea hosting City. Hopefully the gap will open up even bigger then. And Leicester is the surprise package now. Hope they'll drop some points here and there too. It was a good result!
Extinguisher 6th Gear November 11, 2019 Share November 11, 2019 I don't understand why Hendo was subbed off as he and TAA together kept Sterling quiet. After he was off, TAA had difficulty containing Sterling.

With Spurs, United and Arsenal in all sorts of form issue at the moment, the title race is effectively between Pool and City. Leicester and Chelsea are both on impressive winning run, however with the maturity of their players a suspect at some point, they will do well to be the main pack and if they do finish top 4, it will be an achievement in itself. Leicester and Chelsea have picked up form significantly after their games with Pool. Hopefully they can take some points off City too before their form runs out of steam. Not need to win.. just draws will be just fine. 1

He still has energy towards the end. And to think that he was the last one to come back after AFCON. And he can harass the opponents, and if he managed to do enough to make them lose the ball, the opponent will start cursing (and maybe pee his pants). Let's hope Mane stays fit and on form throughout the season.

Not need to win.. just draws will be just fine. Actually, this type of situation is same as the Leicester-winning season, or the season when BR got close - a few of the traditional powerhouses were in transition, and were effectively out of the race before it got far. So it's the perfect opportunity to try to win it. Chelsea got off to the worst possible start this season, tio whacked by Utd. A bunch of kids stepped in cos can't sign new players - and Hazard left... And they could only attract Lampard instead of some more established name. They have really surprised me by getting to where they are now. They were the first team to beat City last season. Hope they can again take points off City in the next round after international break. Actually many teams played well against/after Pool... Spurs did well mid-week also, but somehow didn't play well during the weekend. And yes, all these teams pls peg City back when they meet. ↡ Advertisement
