"Come to Liverpool you will love it here."

We learn from Southampton.

This is how we tap up players these days.

No more secret meetings.

Liverpool are currently sitting at the top of the Premier League table and whilst plenty of football fans around the world are impressed by the Reds, there are some Manchester City supporters who aren’t.

Over on the BlueMoon forum, there is a thread all about Liverpool and, well, let’s just say that it contains one or two rather amusing posts.

We’ve taken a look at some of the best…

Marvin: “We had softened up Leicester for Liverpool.”

Super David Silva 21: “Liverpool have been lucky in the fact they’ve had injuries but not to their star/key players.”

Tracking Back: “I’ve just noticed a rather odd anomaly. Liverpool are playing the same three teams after us. Leicester ,Wolves, Sheffield United. Now on the face of it, there doesn’t appear to be anything ominous about that. However, historically teams that play us tend to perform poorly in their next game. This makes sense because we’re not like any other team and we physically drain our opponents. Leicester last night is a perfect example. If I was looking to help a team out over the hectic schedule, I would probably engineer it so that they play the team that has just played against Manchester City.”

Wapish: “Yep, hand-picked games then the tv companies pick the games to hurt us and help the scousers! There certainly some backhanders going on! Suppose a history club doing well and winning the league will keep the big bucks coming in for premier rights and other teams in the league will be happy with that too! If premier money drops dramatically a lot of teams will be in deep **** they rely on that money!”

Half & half derby scarf: “Liverpool are not that good and as has been said by some, stop their fullbacks and you stop them winning. Robertson is terrible defensively. That being said Leicester are woeful. Easily the worst team at the Etihad this season. Even allowing for the above, they had to use VAR again. Just as Leicester were having their one good spell the alert went to Stockley Park, Oliver got a word in his ear and is the only one in the ground to see the invented handball. If that isn’t given Leicester probably in with a shout for a point.”

Alexmcity: “The PL have shown in a completely shameless manner that they support Liverpool this season, you need only to think about the Christmas fixture list: it makes no sense whatsoever. Even Klopp has admitted it.They have a great team capable of winning the league without help from officials and the PL, but the fear that City might make it 3 in a row has been so big that they have blatantly being helped and City have been hampered.”

Defence: VVD and JOE GOMEZ did wonders; esp the latter who is staking his place as CB. Our FBs are still menancing when the press forward with their runs. Our AB provides confidence to the team with his presence and distribution of the ball, though he sometimes do make slight comical or casual balls that will put the team under undue pressure.

Midfield: Henderson has been a crucial player in absence of Fabinho. He has been a key culprit of back passes (or bad) but in recent games, he upped his game to demonstrate that he can do long passes and quick short passes well too. Keita is our charm and beginning to show why Liverpool funded his transfer - certainly has become Coutinho and Emre Can's big loss to have left the Reds. Keita may not be one of the fastest but surely has a quick witted mind to make those passes/dribbles. - an upgraded version of Lallana imo. Gini remains our workhorse who fitted into our midfield system so effortlessly and tirelessly despite returning from a recent injury.

Striker: All 3 complement each other with good chemistry though Salah's finishing seems abit suspect at times. He seemed surprised to be substituted, which I agreed with JK that he was being slightly selfish in his play during the game.

Subs: They came on, and they brought on the energy required to extinguish any Leicester getting a decent spell of forrays into Reds' half. Origi and his runs, Milner and his coolness and a cameo by Lallana.

JK: He has now built a team that even when goes through player rotation, his game plan and intent remain intact. The Reds, the players, now consist of players whom he nurtured to a level of his expectations. It has been a while since I seen a Liverpool first 11 and the bench having at leas few dependables whom we can call upon to see through a tight game or add urgency or stability during our game.

Let's bask in these achievements and wish the Reds continue their small steps this season to be nearer to glory - being EPL champions by the end of the season.

YNWA everyone!

13 and 14 clear with a game with west ham in hand . Seriously if we still dun win this season , would really think that we will never be able to win the EPL ever ...

Between now till end of Jan, we have 6 PL ties.

Along with 1 and possibly another FA Cup tie.

If we can maintain the gap thereabouts, then when the Champions League KO stage starts in Feb, will be able to rotate a bit more to maintain freshness.
