After laboured first half (with Alisson to thank) came out to put 4 goals past the Saints.

Saints would feel hard done by.

First half, Soton pressed and contained Liverpool's attacking play. Pool's players made several glaring mistakes, fortunatedly saved by VVD, Gomez and Alisson playing cohesively.

Second half, Soton ran out of steam and concentration; allowing Ox, Hendo and Salah to score. By the 3-0 score, it's game over. Fitness of LFC players is the difference between winning vs losing over 90 mins. Liverpool's intensity after half time to notch relentless counter is telling after the goals by Ox and Hendo; and the rest of Salah's goals were well assisted and finished.

Of  the subs, Keita impressed most imo. However, Minamino should have scored maiden goal had Keita been more aware that Mina is in a better position.

Resuling win naturally good but the score of 4-0 is better than expected. 👍
