A home win, another 3 points but no clean sheet though.

Took an early lead, thought it would be smooth sailing onwards, allowed WHU to pull level n then went ahead.

Showed character to come back strongly.

Suddenly we looked vulnerable defending corners?

The Red juggernaut rolls on.

12 more points to wait 30 years of waiting...... ynwa!

Just watched the highlights... seemed like its a reliable goalies gone bad night... wonder what Adrian was thinking while on the bench... Firminho seemed to be trying too hard to get a goal...

for 14 long min, it looked like Moyes will finally break his duck at anfield on his 16th attempt. Pool was playing average and had conceded 2 goals at Anfield.. I can't remember the last time this happened.  Gomez was at fault for the 2nd goal as he left the WH striker with far too much space and Alisson couldn't save the goal. For the 1st goal, it was very soft and Alisson would have saved it 9/10 times.

Once Pool pressed the emergency button after the 2nd goal, its quality once again came to to fore. Salah's goal was fortuitous as it squirmed between GK's legs. But make no mistake, Pool's awakening and relentless pressure was the reason for the equaliser.  Once Salah scored, the inevitable happened and duly delivered in the 81st minute through Mane's tap in.

Another win, Pool definitely had to work hard and went thru a huge roller coaster ride. 18th win in succession equaling City's record.  This 21st home win in succession bettering its own record.  Pool just need 12 pts to make it a home run.

The defence and GK will have better days than this, especially at home. They need to prepare themselves well as they next play A. Madrid at home next week.

The midfield is also an issue as Henderson is out for another 2-3 weeks, Milner pulled out last minute last night.  Keita and Ox are competing for the final slot on the midfield 3. Keita didnt do much last evening.  Hope we can cope without henderson's leadership and coordination during this short absence.

to put this in perspective, even if Pool draws every single game until the end of season, it will have 11 pts. Just 1 pt short to be outright mathematical.  City has the task of winning the rest of the 11 games with no exception allowed...

one of the games is city vs pool. if pool draws, then city can't be winning all remaining games, so still Pool wins
