JK field a hybrid team this morning, made up of Regulars, Reserves and Youth.

Clearly(?) he dun prioritize FA. Next game vs Bournemouth, can we expect the 1st team to line up. With AM game just 3 days later?

Some folks think that this morning and next Wed should field the strongest 11, with the game vs Bournemouth fielding a hybrid side.

Reason given

1) After the loss to Watford, another defeat will be costly

2) It’s vs Bournemouth and it’s at Anfield and we are so ahead in the league.

3) AM next week is crucial.

As I mentioned previously, last season, we played nearly our strongest 11 every 3-4 days when we were chasing ManC and progressing in CL. I believe adrenaline and momentum is crucial.

while City is boasting that it has won almost every domestic titles on offer for the last few seasons which is quite true to the word, the same cannot be said of  Pool, even as it is on course to break the duck for EPL title this season.  Reason is simply because for most positions in the squad, City has a deeper and more well-resourced squad. It can put up a team A and team B (on segregation duty) and the teams can still play as if they were the full 1st team.

The same cannot be said of Pool who has a very good 1st team however, there is such a gap to the squad players.  Hence, Klopp is realistic to chart the priorities for the season whereby it is clear that both domestic cups are not his priorities and he is sticking to that.  Before this loss to Chelsea, Klopp has already signalled this intent by playing a youth team during the winter break.  If we can understand his principled approach to managing the squad's resources for this long season, then we wont be beating ourselves for losing so tamely at the Bridge. for sure. the players are aware of Klopp's priorities and perhaps they also play to the type of expectations?

dun worry... the team never make it easy for themselves...

we still can lose 6 games... n still win the lge

who would not have taken this position at the start of the season?

Exactly.

If you have to lose a few games, the best time is when you need just four more wins.

At one time Volvo raced a station wagon in the European Touring Car Championship.

If this car was going to win, no one wanted to come second behind it.

They rather comes in fifth or sixth.

No one wanted second place behind a car housewives send their kids to school in.

Especially if you were driving this car.

Pool faces off with Bournemouth on a lunch time kick off tmr.  the significance is to reverse the falling form book and to boost the confidence and morale ahead of the crunch game vs A. Madrid.

If the form continues to slide, the danger is not that Pool will lose the title from its grasp, but to stagger across the finishing line and likely with no further UCL campaign to occupy the players' motivation in the next couple of months .. then it may become a long and draggy end to the season...

In anycase, I remain confident that for Pool to kick back into form because there's no way Klopp will accept anything else.. given the last few stumbles in recent weeks.

2 bad news:

Alisson Becker out of this weekend game vs Bournemouth and CL second leg against Atletico Madrid with injury

Naby Keita's brother Almamy Keita has died after Guinean club's coach crashes.

Nine dead and 18 injured in accident.
R.I.P. Thoughts are with Naby and all the other families. Tragic news. 🙏😢

Time for Minamino to show his worth... saw an article saying the senior players are not passing to our Japanese Samurai. He could be our cutting edge to slice through Bournemouth as most teams are probably not well acquainted with the way he will play. Lets hope we hit them with 2 goals in first half and cruise through second half.

Seems that the news on the demise of Keita’s cousin might be false.

OK, then at least it's not so bad... though still sad so many lives were lost...

But losing Allison at this time... is a big worry. Let's hope Adrian has used up all his bad luck for the season already, and will be able to put up a good show, esp against AM...

Pool 2 - 1

The best thing for Pool was letting in the first goal.

Pool started to attack and take the game to Bournmouth

and scored.

I will to see more intensity from Liverpool and control the tempo. 1st half is a bit tired even tho Liverpool has more possession.
