Liverpool Football Club - It is time to end the 30 year wait

This season Liverpool's playing reverse psychology in the transfer market.

It's either free or cheap pricing for quality young players with developmental potential.

Sales of Jordon Ibe, Dominic Solanke and Danny Ings etc are perhaps good examples of commercial shrewness.

There are other work-in progress players like Sheyi Ojo, Ryan Kent and Harry Wilson who may attract sensible bids.

Klopp is now being praised by FSG as a great power CEO, more than just a football  manager.

:D

Pep spent 100 million and claims no money.

Klopp spent 1.3 million and never complain.

Pep coincidentally likes to Purchase Expensive Players. That's why always complain about paying exorbitant prices. [laugh]

Remember Torres putting in transfer requests to move to Chelsea? Alonso to Real Madrid, Mascherano, Suarez and Coutinho leaving for Barca?

This summer's departures are:

Sturridge and Moreno were released at the end of contract cos they are not needed anymore.

Rafa Camacho did not sign a contract and moved to Sporting. Maybe he did not want to be fast track into the first team as the next attacking wing back for Liverpool. He wants to play wing...

Mignolet went back to Belgium for 7M (we bought him for 9M? Not bad 300K depre per year). Good for the team and good for him. Despite his good attitude and the fact that he is a good shot stopper, he is not suitable for Liverpool. We could have won the Charity Shield if he was in goal during the penalty kicks. He is famous for saving spot kicks.

Quite an improvement from a few years ago... i would say.

Harry Wilson has completed a season-long loan move to AFC Bournemouth.

Apparently (TBC) there is no option to buy.

Looks like Klopp thinks quite highly of Wilson and is willing to let him try break into first team next season.

Good to loan to another EPL team. If he can perform, he might be able to fight for a place or be sold for more money.

Peter Krawietz: Liverpool Boss Jurgen Klopp Won't Spend for 'Sake of Spending'

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2848629-peter-krawietz-liverpool-boss-jurgen-klopp-wont-spend-for-sake-of-spending

Klopp target specific players only.. I was surprised that he moved for VVD and Ali but he probably cant find other better choices. He needs these two to improve the team immediately

So far his buys are pretty good.. except for Solanke and Karius?

Solanke was a good investment though.. made capital gain of more than 200% (bought at 6M? And sold at 19M? Made 13M?) I thought he will be a good understudy for Firminho. Guess he was sold becos he was easier to sell compare to Origi?

Karius was, if you ask me, a better fit than Mignolet but somehow he cant make it in England... He was doing well after settling down until his UCL final boo boo. He was also a Man city youth player but did not make it... saw reports that he is doing well in Turkey now...

Klopp first signing was Grujlic and he remains on loan... maybe he is back up if Fabinho is wanted by Madrid?

Mane, VVD, Ali, Salah, Robertson, AOC, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Matip, Klavan were all good buys.. Keita becoming more influential until his injury stop him from playing... Shaqiri so far so good....

H Wilson scored 17 goal while on loan at Championship team Derby last season.

Now on loan this season to EPL team Bournemouth for £2.5m.

If he can repeat at least the same number of goals, his stock will fly when he returns to Anfield.

Win-win move for all 3 parties, player, loaning club and LFC.

Huat ah!

He just need to score 10 league goals and he will be worth more than 25M. Lets hope Bournemouth plays him in right wing or as attacking mid.

Harry Kane and Sterling only score 17 last season. Top british goalscorer is Vardy at 18 league goals.

This summer, the club already sold these players:

Camacho             5M

Ings                    18M

Mignolet            6.4M

Bought these:

VDB                   1.8M

Elliot       estimate 4M (Tribunal to decide?)

Even for youngster... we already sold one and bought two...

Still have 24.8M sitting around.. but not enough to loan Coutinho haha

It's like with a new car. Your old car is completely reliable, but you want a new one and two weeks later it breaks down. It looks better, but obviously it's not that good.
