No need what Euro Supercup, No need FA Cup, No League Cup ...

I only want the Premier League! Let me experience that joy again!

... and maybe UCL winners for the 7th time again!

Man City bought rodri. 60 mil euros buyout.

Looks like another fabinho. Tall tackling DM. Going to replace Fernandinho. Seems a solid buy.

it's a good sign.  City needs to be replace Vincent Company and Fernandino this current season. Fernandino is already 34 yr old so its a matter of time he runs out of legs this season or even the next. Kun is already getting older so at some point, City may be down to the other real CF in Jesus.

With transitions of these key players who arguably were most instrumental in the title run in last season, City has more work to do compared to Pool's starting 11 which definitely looks more settled to me.  City matched Utd's 70M bid for Macquire.  This is insane as even good that he is, he is not the same class as VVD who costed only 5M more.

he started last season well however fainted away significantly in the run-in.

For all his ball-playing skills, he can be a liability when defending. I think Pep is aware of the needs to reinforce his defence hence desperate enough (like Utd) to bid 70m for Macquire.

ha ha ha... in the recent UEFA Nations League, he was the reason England lost.

I hope City plays him next season and he plays the same standard frequently.

With Kompany out, City is down to 3 CBs - Laporte, Otementi and Stones.

If you ask me, they will definitely to buy another.  I am surprised that they are not looking at De Ligt yet going for Maquire.

Transfer activity is super quiet at anfield. If we really do not add anyone, really wonder if we can mount a stronger challenge next season.

The idea is that attack-wise, got brewster coming in to replace sturridge, and ox is coming back. Maybe is also thinking/hoping that keita can come good and be injury-free for the whole season and can live up to the expectation of worth chasing him for so long.

the only area where seriously need reinforcement, would be the full backs. But with TAA and Robertson having such performances, it's not easy to find someone willing to come in and warm the bench.

Central defence, if the trio of Matip, Gomez and Lovren stay fit, should be able to depend on them as there aren't many obviously-better options out there who doesn't cost a bomb.

It's the creative midfield role that is a bit in need... but dunno will wanna buy or not also.

yup. we do not have anyone who can score from outside and free kicks. Oh well, maybe Ox. But still lacking a PC type who have that eye for a pass.

LWF - Mane / (Ox)

CF - Bobby / Origi / Brewster

RWF - Salah / Shariqi

CM - Gini / Milner / Keita / Ox / Lallana / (Hendro)

DM - Fabino / Hendro

LB - Roberson / (Milner) / (Gomez)

RB - TAA / (Milner) / (Gomez)

CB - VVD /Gomez /Matip / Lorven

Gk - Alisson / Mingolet

From a glance, the squad list seemed settled and there should be sufficient cover for all positions except for fullbacks which is really 1 specialist per flank but covered by Milner and Gomez who are utility players.

The key players are Alisson, VVD and the front 3 due to their specific qualities. If any of these players are injured for a sustained period, the overall performance of the team will surely decline.  Hence, i am not sure if Klopp should sit easy for this transfer window... hope he springs a couple of surprise.

exactly. when PC was around, he did score a few stunners from far out, like the way Gerrard used to score in his younger days. PC also could do direct free kicks, as well as bring the ball around and look for a good opening to make a killer pass.

None of the lot now, can do that.

the squad is good enuf for 97 points. we lost the lge when we lost 2-1 to shitty.

for all our wants, how many top end players is willing to come and sit on bench?

i feel this squad can challenge, while the next season will be used to id more players while trying to bed in the exciting prospects.

we will get 1 FB, who is cheap, can play LB / RB

i personally dun mind PC back in Liverpool

Quite right already. I guess the only other permutations would be maybe Fabinho covers CB and RB during emergency, but that will weaken the DM role, which I think he's the first choice by far.

Woodburn was touted as the next big thing 3 seasons ago, but last 2 hardly saw him play. No more potential?

We had bad injury problem towards the business end of 17/18, but was far luckier for 18/19. I think you're right in that should get some cover just to be safe - somemore will (hopefully) have many more games.

we had 97 pts from the current squad mainly cos the key players - Alisson, VVD and the front 3 were largely available throughout the season, esp for Alisson and VVD who were evergreen.  The front 3 operates well when all 3 play.. the moment 1 or 2 are out, the replacement players do not click that well.. except for Origi who came on towards the end of last season and scored the memorable goal...

thats where the 1 point is lah ...........

ManC have a 60m pounds sub in Mahrez. iirc, he did score some important goals. But last season was a "God's will" imo. When Foden & Kompany scored the singular winning goals in 2 matches, you know its not coming home  ^_^
