Paulo Dybala could feature in a sensational swap deal taking him to Manchester United and Romelu Lukaku to Juventus. But what would the Argentina international bring to Old Trafford?

Lukaku's future has been one of the sagas of the summer with Inter Milan seeing a £53.9m bid for the Belgian rejected by United last week, but now it appears the striker could be heading to Inter's Serie A rivals Juventus - and that will mean a new look for United's front line.

while dybala is a good for man u ,

i dun understand why juv go for lukaku.

esp the sarriball style, lukaku suit that style meh?? he is not exactly a good passing player

There is some conspiracy theories that Juve wants to sign Lukaku just to block him from signing for Inter whom they feel are their biggest threat domestically but personally I don’t believe any team does that.

Having said that, I don’t know why Juve wants Lukaku as Dybala is a much more mobile player who shld be able to adapt to Sarriball much better than the Belgian n also the Old Lady has Mandzukic as CF already. On the other hand, Conte has always fancied Lukaku since he was Chelsea boss but ended up getting Morata instead. The Belgian shld strive under Conte who always plays with a focal point in attack like Costa at Chelsea previously.

Checking in nia....

Strange how both goalies of pool has fumbled the balls of late.

Well, Allison fumbled last season and conceded a goal in a match that they were comfortably winning. And then he learnt his lesson.

I'm hoping that he has reached his quota for fumbling for this new season at the first try - then rest of the season won't see another [laugh]

Heard Paulo Dybala is requesting 350K per week.

Man Utd is really going down a slippery slope, the benchmark is being set higher and higher.

Incoming will demand more

Renewal will demand more

If they dont start winning some silverware which is deemed valuable to sponsors, it will be a matter of time.

They are living on credits of past glory

Perhaps Klopp allow each goalie 1 cock-up per season.

So better practice cock-ups during pre-season won't be so bad... haha

Still cheaper than Alexis Sanchez, senor.

Man United has very deep pockets because it is still making tons of money, even if they do not play Champions League.

But i don't understand how these transfer works leh.

Some players who is considered surplus to requirement at their club, cos not performing, still can demand so much $$...

while others who are still in demand, also not even close...

no wonder i'm not in that business...

Based on Financial figures for 2017-18

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/may/22/premier-league-finances-club-guide-2017-18-accounts-manchester-united-city

To be fair Man Utd is not spending money they do not have.

Revenue of 590.

Worrying portion is :

Net debt £254m

Interest and finance costs £24m (10%)

The glazers are also taking out secured loan against Man Utd shares, this can cause things to go south very quickly.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/9591470/man-utd-fans-glazers-loan-collateral-darcie/

A bit like overdraft on Credit card, as long the next pay cheque is big enough, then Bank will be happy to continue this relationship.

Back to Pool numbers,

Liverpool had a total wage bill up from £208m to £263m for the year in a season which saw the arrivals of Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Andy Robertson.

Ownership Fenway Sports Group, registered in the US as NESV I, LLC, of which John W Henry is the principal shareholder

Gate and matchday income £81m

TV and broadcasting £220m Commercial activities £154m

Net debt Not stated; bank loan £56m; £99m owed to FSG.

Interest payable £8m (5%)

Profit 125M

The past year, we had a good run in Champion League for the second year in running (winning it this round), so numbers should be more swee.

It is a wonder why we did not buy 1st team players but rather invest in two young talents instead.

I guess the interest rate is considered healthy(Aroundn 5%) and there is no need to wipe out the loan

Could be keeping the powder dry for a “transformer”, a term I heard some pundits mentioned. A transformer being a player who can take us to another level, like VVD or AB.

Nicolas Pepe signs for Arsenal £72mil but only £20mil up front.

Must give Arsenal credit for this signing n looks like that £45mil kitty is not exactly true as they will definitely be signing at least 2more players likely a CB n a LB (Tierney).

The loyal Gunners fans deserve a signing of this nature to boost confidence n show intent that they will be challenging. Pepe has lightning pace it seems which is such an asset in the modern game
