Aristotle 5th Gear August 22, 2019 Share August 22, 2019 YJM is thru to the quarter-finals. Was watching it live on youtube. I'm impressed. Was also watching live. Really hard fought victory. Made many beginner mistakes and was called for more than three receiver faults and gifted the points to her opponent. But she is still very young, just 20 years old, and she will learn from this and really looking forward to her achieving greater heights for herself and for Singapore! Ct3833 Supersonic August 22, 2019 Author Share August 22, 2019 finally sat down to watch the replay, OMG the bloody umpire faulted her 4 times for moving before her opponent started serving! the umpire was too strict to her considering she is only 20 and is so new to competition at this level. But she also didnt learn from her mistake to have repeated the same mistake for up to 4 times. Anyway glad that she wont the match. I am sure her coach would coach her after the match, all these will add up to make a better her tomorrow when she continues to move herself up into the international arena. All the best to her!

Throttle2 Supersonic August 22, 2019 Share August 22, 2019 Can see that the matchplay was quite untidy and she seems rushed at times. Threw away easy ones but i think overall still damn good. I think if i play against her confirm, 21-3, 21-5, 21-4

PSP415 Supersonic August 22, 2019 Share August 22, 2019 Congrats, Jia Min! The pressure is multiplied and mounting. Your strengths, weaknesses and strategy/style of playing may already be analysed by your competitors and their coaches by now and the reverse is true. Enjoy your games and may you stay calm and in control of each stage of the tournament. Jia Min, jia you!
Kurty Supercharged August 23, 2019 Share August 23, 2019 what a waste, our Loh KY lost to world number 2. nonetheless, he got the potential to grow, he's only 22. Chen had a tough fight as well
Beehive3783 Turbocharged August 23, 2019 Share August 23, 2019 It's an international competition. Leniency should only be expected in interschool matches. At such high level of competition, there should be minimum of such amateur errors. finally sat down to watch the replay, OMG the bloody umpire faulted her 4 times for moving before her opponent started serving! the umpire was too strict to her considering she is only 20 and is so new to competition at this level.
