DFS to leave Changi Airport

I was surprised they are leaving. Every time return from travel will always get some beer and wine.

probably due to online where the price can be cheaper than DFS.

They still have the branded goods business but i think those also affected since many brands open their own boutique shop there.

Although Shengsiong is getting bigger, but you see they only open in heartland area, think shopping mall also dont have many outlet?!

After a long flight who would want to queue for so long for a bottle or two when you just want to hit the road and go home?

Now with online wine shops you can order as many as you want with bulk discount. Plus the order comes with delivery. 

The kinda business dfs is running is obsolete.

Once I bough beers and realized it's not any cheaper than supermarket .

No point then unless it's hard liqour I guess

Last time after come back from holiday, default will go DFS see look see look de. But now no more, after touched down, would just head straight to the immigration and baggage.

DFS wine beer and liquor, has not been the cheapest around.

Not to mentioned, after trips. Buying at airport still have to hand carry home. Unless, price difference is great. Else, there is no incentive to do so.
