Pokka is only popular in Singapore and Malaysia. Lim peh go Japan have NEVER seen their products at Familymart, Lawson  , 7-11and supermarkets. Felt cheated cos since young, tot Japanese were into this brand of drink. Pui!

Pokka is owned by Sapporo Holdings, Japan's fourth largest brewer by volume and makers of Yebisu and Sleeman.

I'm sure you've seen Yebisu in Japan right.

I think it's quite straightforward. He used the Pokka brand to gain influence for his company's products he had created.

Anyway a search on his company it produces local beverages such as bundung, soya bean milk, grass jelly drink and chrysanthemum drink.

He did it behind Pokka's back. Pokka found out and he tio pok lo.

If civil case,  at most stay in hdb and take public transport. If crimminal case,  then will go jail instead.

Agree, but go jail come out also probably HDB mah.. his assets should have been frozen by some means probably? Legal case will also take a toll on his finances if this drags for years.

If they have savings,  then may be able to drag through.  The wife is still working and earning 5 figure per month.  They will survive.

reading the case details accounted in straits times, it does suggest that he was up to no good.

no matter what reason he put forward of pokka drinks not sellable in singapore and malaysia, he shouldn't be setting up a rival company, sitting on their board and giving business to rival company who is going IPO.  there's definitely a lot of dishonest element in his partaking of such a setup.
