2019 Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class (X247)

So it’s shorter than GLC but taller. Same width though.

 

Earlier pics looked like it was even bigger than GLC. I supposed the taller stance made it look deceivingly bigger than it actually is. Makes sense that it slots between GLA n GLC and also it being a mid sized SUV MPV. Those needing a full sized one will probably go for GLS.

I can see how they squeeze in the 3rd row.

 

By increasing the vertical height, and a more angular upright rear roofline of the current GLC boot space, they can fit in 2 foldable seats but that will mean zero rear luggage space with all seats up.

 

The GLB actually looks more rugged than GLC/GLA/GLE with it's wide flared fenders front and rear. Of course this is still concept, production will see the exterior tone down a notch or 2.

 

 

Actually looking at the spec of GLB, it seems to be a 7 seater version of the GLC Class, particularly in the dimensions aspect.

 

GLB - 4,634mm (L) x 1,890mm (W) x 1,900mm (H)

 

GLC - 4,656mm (L) x 1,890mm (W) x 1,639mm (H)

Looks like a new class.

Definitely not a B styled vehicle.

Seems to be presented more as an off roader type.

Very jeepish, height inclusive.

 

Concept exterior looks fat and unrefined but brings out the jeep look

Grill super ugly

Front end ugly

Rear ok

Total package ok but looks somewhat off balanced

Interior pretty cool but it wont happen that way.

 

Overall Nah for me....

Wont buy.

 

Compare the GLC and GLB pics above is like Beauty and the Beast.

agree, unless one has a lot of money to splurge , otherwise,  like me, I will wait for COE car 10 years later .

If it is really going to be priced between GLA and GLC, i am seriously tempted. Gonna make a good family car.

the size is very close to glc, 1 inch shorter in length, 2 inch taller and can have 7 seater version.

I find it a bit too chunky leh. Bah bah but not in a good way 

I prefer the GLC look.
