I have driven 4 used, nearing end of lifespan cars

2005 Kia Picanto (M) (last 4yrs) - 17 km/l

2006 Mit. Lancer (M) (last 1.5yrs) - 14 km/l

2007 Mazda 3 SP (A) (last 1yr) - 10 km/l

2008 Nissan Latio (A) (last 1.5yrs) - 11km/l

Any comments on FC on brand new H. Avante anyone?

Old Mazda and Nissan Latio really sux big time...Dont't know why Nissan never seems to be able to over come their poor FC issue. And they can keep churning out ugly boxy uncle-ish looking car design...

Any bros driving the 1L or 1.4L Turbos? How is the fuel consumption like in city driving? Able to get >14km/l, better than the 1.6L NAs?

Depends on your Right Foot,Road Condition & the Load you carry.

use to own a Honda Jazz 1.3Manual, would pump a mix of 92 and 95. Can sometimes get 18km/L on good days.Drive off from 2nd gear

thats called lugging your engine. Bad advised. Unless you driving a lorry or a pickup.

2009 Honda S2000 - 10.4km/l

2012 Range Rover Evoque - 12.5km/l

2019 Forester SI - 12.7km/l

These are good FC numbers! Achieved over a single trip or the average over a period of time?

Didn't know what is lugging before. was a 9 year old car, scrapping in 1 year. But it's good to save petrol rather than taking care of the engine since it's an old car.

Yes .. take whole sale may not make sense as it may kill the car if the car is already marginally serviced. Taken as piecemeal, people may not understand and kill their car .. but lesser chance as most cars are auto nowadays
