More like total lack of situation awareness and thus the poor response to the reckless lane change by that taxi driver.

Maybe the cam car wants to change his car bumper, so look for such opportunity so that can can change the bumper without need to pay himself? Lol.

It is power assisted bicycle.  It means the rider need to pedal before got any assistance.  Assistance will reduced as speed increased till 25km/h.

How many rider can do that whole day?

CNY is near.. Drive safe everyone. Not worth to have your car stuck in workshop when need to travel around for house visits. Not forgetting those who drives once in the blue moon will be on the road.

In a way loh! Those super smart pple said we drivers are more aware of cyclists.. BUT they dunno that such riders is not aware of how drivers drive or even basic highway code loh..

Where possibly a life's concern, the government has made a decision without due thought and consequences.

Drivers and motorcyclists need to take tests before allowed on road but we have cyclist and now assisted ebikers who not only do not take basic theory test are allowed.

Hope something is done before more lives are lost.

I'm not so sure.

For me that's a case for the BMW being at fault, from the video anyway.

I know what the insurance companies view rear ending but the BMW closed the gap not he taxi who didn't have enough time to slow and open it up again.

Unfortunately life is unfair.

When the BMW is fully into the lane, insurance most likely view it as the taxi driver at fault.

Taxi driver may report BMW inconsiderate driving to TP and maybe BMW driver gets a fine and demerit points. That's about the only recourse.
